Fugitive of the newspaper industry, college-hoops apologist, unashamed Pepsi drinker, lover of fried eggs. Not to fear, I take a daily multivitamin and occasionally eat salads.

After spending the bulk of my life in deep Southern Arizona, I've mutated into a Bay Area re-loc as a member of Bleacher Report's Writer Applications Coordinators, one of the intro points for potential B/R contributors.

Graduated from the University of Arizona—mid-Salim, just pre-Gronk—as a Poli Sci and Journalism type. Worked for the Tucson Citizen and Arizona Daily Star—as well as a William Wallace-like stint as a middle-school sub—before landing at B/R headquarters in S.F.

Closest I've ever come to waterboarding: As a pulled-out-of-the-crowd batboy circa 1997 during spring training in Tucson, then-Angels first-base coach George Hendrick threatened to repeatedly dunk me in the whirlpool post-game if Anaheim lost. Troy Glaus canceled all that with a moonshot home run that ended up rolling into a sheriff's parking lot across the highway.
