Hi Pete-

While prices have slipped, the Glendale-Burbank area is very desirable so has not suffered as much as some. If you are not familiar with my area; Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena are incorporated cities just north of downtown LA. Being incorporated; we have separate own police, fire, schools, and utilities - all of high quality.

All that being said, I do mostly property management for apts and that market remains very strong.

Enough of the chamber of commerce spiel. I look forward to your writing as you seem to have a fine sense of humor.

Thanks for the info, but to me it was more about his attitude--he's a pugilistic little punk who lacks the courage and knowledge to write so he has to trash other people's writing in anyway he can. Then when he can't substantiate his claims, he high-tails it off the site, never to return. I can't stand those bombers and snipers--in the spirit of the chivalric knight and the hockey enforcer, stand toe-to-toe with me, coward!

Search Thomas Brown...he's a great writer but loves the edge of poor taste...like the razor's edge.

Zander has kind of let me be his unofficial babysitter/editor because, up until last week, I was the only one who could stand him. I'm done with that for now, I need a break.

Thomas does some of those 'Enquirer' hatchet job articles just to get lots of comments and reads. He can be a misogynist if a girl doesn't respond properly and he gets borderline pornographic at times. He requires a lot of attention.

His college football work is excellent, professional and entertaining when he stays on point though. That's why I fought so hard against his deletion with Zander...Thomas can be really, really good.

By your picture and age I see that you have that 'diminutive' disease that's so fashionable these days.

My sympathies.

No, no, here's the deal. Once a month or so someone (i.e, Top Writer) writes a really good piece and it get's lost because another piece of questionable quality (in their mind) gets a POTD or a lot of traffic that they feel that they deserve.

The result is an article lambasting the scoring system or shoddy writing quality or some such nonsense...and all of the 'Top Writers' jump in with comments, POTD votes and starz and...it gets a POTD on the front page.

The TW's want restrictions, rules, personal editors, supervision, they want hoops to jump through if you're a newbie.

It happens with some regularity now.

An example, this one put me over the edge last week and was POTD for three F*&#ing days;

The irony was that it had to be edited/spell checked/re-formatted NINE times before it was readable...so it was a prime example of it's own critique.

If you missed it...the battle that I fought in the commentary is now legendary among the rabble and proletariat, even the Soccer hooligans got scared and left, it got so bad that Zander had to step in. My sister printed out copies and sent it to the Libertarian Party's headquarters and I got a thank you card from the Socialist Worker's Party.

Alan and I finally kissed and made up...ugh.
