Craig McHugh commented on Most Dominant College Hoops Players Ever:
Good list. I have to agree with Mike F. though Pete Maravich was way ahead of his time. Averaged 42.2 PPG and still had 10-20 assist...

One of B/R’s college basketball featured columnists, Doug Brodess, is a member of the United States Basketball Writers Association. He annually casts his vote for the USBWA Oscar Robertson Trophy and was recently added to the Atlanta Tip Off Club’s Naismith College Player of the Year Award voters.
His articles have been featured on outlets such as CBSSports.com, the Houston Chronicle, Seattle Post-Intelligencer and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Brodess is a frequent radio guest on numerous stations across the country. Leading up to the 2012 Final Four, he was on air with ESPN’s John Clayton and Bram Weinstein's national radio show. Doug, The NCAA hammers a school like St Mary's, yet has turned a blind eye to the rampant cheating at unc-chapel hill. Documented cheating at carolina that includes 216 fake classes, 454 unauthorized grade changes, forged signatures of professors, athletes turning in plagiarized papers... going as far back as 1997 (possibly beyond, but they stopped looking at that point). We all know St Mary's does not bring in the dollars for the NCAA that a school like unc-ch does. How else can you explain how a school can so blatantly cheat, yet get a free pass from the body that is supposed to keep the playing field level for all schools.
Just read your article "Pros and Cons for Each Andrew Wiggins Suitor" and was just wondering what your prediction would be, based on those pros and cons? Or, if you wanted to add a slide for a prediction, either is fine.
I would do a article on Noah Vonleh choosing IU ASAP.
Hey, Doug. Email me. chris@cardfans.net
You really pissed me off! How in the heck can you leave off Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (Chris Jackson) from the top 25 list? Are you kidding me? Show me a better career avg for any 2 year player in the last 25 years! Also you must of never heard of Freeman Williams my cousin!
The Coast 2 Coast Network is looking for talented writers and college basketball fans to be in charge of their own web site. If you would be interested in writing for and managing FearThePhog.com, our Kansas Jayhawks sports site, please call 702-734-8488 ASAP.
Doug,
Who would I contact about becoming a CBB featured columnist? Thanks,
Josh
No problem !
Just read your list of the Most Hated Players. Without arguing about any of your individual picks (I have enjoyed hating a number of those players and coaches along the way), I still wonder: why do you think such a high proportion of Most Hated Players are white? Basketball at the uppermost levels -- among Americans anyway -- is an overwhelmingly African-American game, yet just about half your Most Hated (15/34 players, leaving coaches aside) are white. What accoutns for this? Do we hate the striver and struggler (eg Ainge) who succeeds through sheer brute determination?
Wrote a relatively similar article that delves into Dirk's legacy now that he has a ring.
