Thanks for the pick Tori! Kind of story the writes itself. hehe.
NFL runningback Ryan Moats was pulled over last week on the way to the hospital to say goodbye to his dieing mother-in-law. He was detained and harassed by the officer for almost 15 minutes, and in that time his mother-in-law passed away. He was not able to get to her in time to say goodbye.
I was heartbroken when I heard this story, but enraged when I actually saw a 17 minute video of the entire incident. I have never seen such an abuse of power in my life.
Because of the nature of this subject, this article was pretty important to me. I would love if you could check it out when you get a chance. If not, no problem. Thanks!
Congrats on the ESPN.com piece!!! I just saw it on the B/R blog.
Tori, you might also want to check out a slideshow tribute I created in honor of The Sporting News on their 123rd Birthday this St. Patrick's Day.
I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for the support.
Tori, HUGE high five and congrats on the success. Seems well-deserved. Someone turned me on to your pieces and said I should check them out. I'll be doing that later today.
Again, congrats. and while I'm just a small fry compared to you here at B/R, you might want to check out the latest installment of my series, What's Up With That?
