Tori's Bio

Currently enjoying 'the best years of my life' as a college kid- My mind's in the Sonoran Desert, but I left my heart in San Francisco.

I plan on pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management after I finish up what I started with an undergraduate degree in physical education. Future plans include working for a professional team (SJ Sharks?), collegiate department (Longhorns?), sports venue (Fenway?) or up in the office with the big kids(Bristol?).

    Looks like our call to put all four 1 seeds in the final four was the right one! You making a comeback in any of your pools?

    Man I wish Davidson could have that last 15 seconds back...why Curry burned half the clock dribbling the ball to half court is beyond me...quite a run still, what can you say...

    Aww, thanks Tori! Yeah, I'm born and raised in the bay, but my heart's in Texas! :) There aren't really a lot of people that are big Texas fans outside of Texas, I'm the only one I know who loves UT! I read your bio, and that's really cool that you want to work for maybe the Sharks or the Longhorns. My goal, too, is to maybe work for the Sharks. And, Tori, you are amazing as well!

    Sorry about the Wildcats going down in the first round. What can you say, those Mountaineers are a solid squad...

    Little Miss Wildcat:

    I had two Cinderellas—the first apparently had a few too many drinks before attending the ball, going down in the first game of March Madness (that's what I get for riding the bandwagon). Silly southerners...

    My second Cinderella team is Davidson—gotta represent since I went to a small liberal arts college. We'll see how they do tom. I think it's gonna be a good game.

    Final four: I hate to admit it but I got all four #1's—but I think Georgetown and Texas have a realistic shot of winning.

    UT is in Knoxville, the eastern part of the state. I went to law school there (and live about 100 miles away) and it is a great sports campus. The football team is always good, the women's basketball team has 7 national titles, and the men's basketball team is really on the rise. They just remodled the basketball arena. 107,000 fans pack the football stadium every home game (which makes Neyland Stadium somewhere around the 4th largest city in the state during home games).     Arizona squeaked in to the tourney. But how do you feel about a possible second round match-up with Duke? They will have to get past a pretty good West Virginia team first. I'm predicting they will make it through the 1st round. If they were playing any other team than Duke (or Tennessee) I would pull for them in the second round too.

    Thanks. It is difficult complimenting Duke, but come on - who WON'T remember the Duke/Kentucky regional final for the rest of their life? Great, great game.

    Are you as scared of the first-round match-up as I am? I mean, I know Oregon State sucks and all, but if any team was going to give up a meaningless upset to a scrappy bunch of kids just playing for pride, wouldn't it have to be the 2008 Cats? I can just see the Beaver fans rushing the court, all three of them...

    [BTW, way to give us the butt shot in the profile pic. I take it you have been talking to a lot of ASU fans?]

    I was pretty upset when Duke lost. I feel really bad for Nelson. Losing to Carolina on senior day is awful. But you are right that Duke dominated the first game. As bad as I hate the loss, Duke is still 1-1 against UNC this year. I'd like another shot at them in the ACC Tournament. I lost a bet with one of my friends on the game. I've been so focused on Duke and Tennessee I haven't noticed how Arizona is doing lately.

    Yeah the closest thing I've got to compare to that was when I was at U of A taking a summer class right after the Mavs knocked the Suns out of the conference finals and wore my Jason Terry jersey and Western conference champs shirt. I gotta ask though, with a gun to your head, do you cheer for U of A or Duke when they play each other?

    Excellent work on that new article Miss Willis!

    Not exactly sure what's going on with the picture...I played with it and finally was able to get the giant Penguins logo to stay on there while making the little one go away. It's not perfect but it's better than it was before...

    Let me know if this continues to be a problem. Hope you're having a good weekend Tor.
