Chad has yet to fill out a bio.
Thanks for reading. If you want to be nit picky, I completely understand. I appreciate it because I am too. Few things:
1. I don't consider Bernstine or Crawford as "addressing a need". How can we expect an athlete to substantially produce when Jordan Bernstine finished 7th in the Big Ten in kickoff return average with zero touchdowns. How will that translate if he couldn't even finish in the top tier in his conference? As for Crawford, he had 16 punt returns last year. Finished with a decent average with 1 touchdown. Does that suffice for you? For me it doesn't.
2. Mike Shanahan incorporating a two tight end system. Let's take his two Super Bowl teams for example, two of the best offenses in NFL history: Granted they had Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, their second tight end? Dwayne Carswell who averaged eight receptions in those two seasons. Eight receptions really establish a dual tight end threat? No. Not to mention, this isn't Mike Shanahan's offense, this is his sons. This isn't the same offense from Denver.
3. Jammal Brown, if he's healthy I have no problems. However, he hasn't been in three years. Football is a young man's game and are we to depend on aging veteran who hasn't been able to return to his Pro Bowl form? That odds are not in his favor.
4. Chris Chester and his 20 million dollar contract: two years ago, that contract makes sense for a nominal offensive lineman. In the new CBA, that's a lot more than you think. Not to mention of our impending salary cap restrictions.
When it comes down to it, we're all on the same team. Thanks for reading and HTTR.
