I was born and raised in John Day, Oregon. The closest city of any size to me was Boise, Idaho--and that was 3 hours away. I went to college in San Diego, but transferred to the University of Oregon and graduated with a degree in biochemistry. After college came Peace Corps. I lived in Niger, West Africa for a year and a half speaking a language no one's ever even heard of. I currently live in Ann Arbor, MI, where my girlfriend is attending graduate school. This is awesome because I've always been a Detroit Tigers fan. Like Vonnegut before me, I chose the wrong field of study, and am now pursuing my talents as a writer. Like a writer-writer, not a sportswriter. This stuff is just for fun.
