Ron Knabenbauer

Ron Knabenbauer


Ron Knabenbauer is the former sports editor for the CU Independent (University of Colorado student online publication) and worked as the Colorado Mammoth beat writer for the National Lacrosse League website during the 2010 season.

A native of Evergreen, Colorado, Ron does play-by-play for broadcasts of the the University of Colorado hockey and lacrosse team's games. He also does play-by-play for Boulder Jr. Bison hockey, a U.S. junior hockey team that is based in Colorado.

For the past two seasons, he has also broadcasted the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships on In the fall of 2010, he did the play-by-play duties for Mullen High School Football on iBN Sports during the Mustangs regular season in which they would go on to win their third straight Colorado 5A State Title.

He has done work with KVCU and KGNU radio, University of Colorado Club Sports, CU Sports Mag (student run sports show at the University of Colorado), News Team Boulder (student run news show at CU), and CU Sports Information as well as interning with 9News (KUSA-TV) and 850 KOA radio in Denver.
