A lifelong race fan from short tracks to Indy, this transplanted New Yorker lives, eats and breathes auto racing on a daily basis while living in Virginia.
Out of high school started drag racing, then auto crossing with Corvettes. Not happy with those situations, started racing wheel-to-wheel in SCCA, IMSA and NASCAR from Sports 2000's to NASCAR Modifieds. Also captured New York State Formula 2000 championship in 1988.
Have worked for television, radio, newspaper, magazines and websites over the past 18 years.
Have interviewed most of the current NASCAR and Indy car drivers from all top divisions.
Have been airing the Racin' with Russ radio show for the past 12 years in addition to weekly and bi-weekly racing columns. Performed short track announcer duties over the past 15 years at three different tracks.
I try to attend as many of the big races as time permits.
I have also been a member of the National Motorsports Press Association for the past eight years.

    None of the above. Both were and/or are dirty drivers that would take out their momma to gain a position on the track.

    Alison's last name is MacLeod. I would rank Simona at the top and Legge tied with the Cope twins at the bottom. Kathryn has a hard time making it through corners.
