State of Play: Why the NFLPA Is Right and Ohio State Is Wrong
March 10, 2011
I’ve wanted to be a writer since college but life happened. And so far it’s been a great life. I've lived in three war zones, worked for a college athletic department, the Raiders and the NFL, helped run a counterterrorism program and was on the 9/11 Commission. I’ve taught yoga, studied five languages and traveled to 40 countries. I love the Yankees and high heels. I think it’s okay for a man to open doors and give up his seat on the subway. I swear a lot. Pray too. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in sports information and got a graduate degree in journalism (and one in Russian and East European studies but that's another story) from Indiana University. I could live on baked ziti and pizza but mainly eat salads, fruit and potato chips. I drink tea and prefer gin martinis. Dirty. College football is my drug of choice so please don’t call me on fall Saturdays unless you’re Derek Jeter. My hair is usually uncooperative.
You've lived in three war zones? Was one of those when you worked for the Raiders? lol
