In 2012, Joshua worked in multiple sports. In addition to writing about college basketball on the Bleacher Report, he was the radio sideline reporter for the Western Illinois Men's Basketball team during the 11-12 season, and was awarded with the 2012 Illinois News Broadcasters Association First Place Award for Outstanding Radio Sports Reporting. He worked the summer as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Will County CrackerJacks, was the 2012 Western Illinois Football TV Color Commentator, and worked games as the Western Illinois Radio Color Commentator for Men's Basketball.

Joshua also loves the NFL Draft and has provided draft coverage on and off since 2006.
