I was born in Connecticut, but have lived in Houston, Texas for almost 10 years now. The only sport I really follow is MMA, which I got into thanks to reruns of WEC Wreckage when nothing else was on late at night. I paid attention to Frank Mir's commentating, and I was hooked. I spent hours online reading and learning all that I could, as well as finding videos of the important matches so that I could get a feel for the big names in the sport.
As it stands, I haven't even been a fan for a full year yet, but I love it and I'm looking forward to learning much more from the writers on this site.
I'm currently a 4th year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Houston.

I know what you mean man. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone during it, or point out anyone's faults. Not that kinda guy. But some people took it the wrong way so, I don't know. I hope you do stay encouraged, and on the site though man.
