The funny thing, is that right after I published the article, I started to think maybe the focus should have been centered around why it makes sense for Texas to become an independent. It would have been a lot less inflammatory and probably raise some more focused points. Then, I started to see the back and forth in the comments and decided to leave it up.
And I have to admit, I can easily see A&M's first few seasons being extremely rough for them. If they thought UT and OU were tough, playing at Death Valley every other year is going to be a real headache.

As an LSU fan living in Austin I do not disagree with everything that you have written about the arrogance of the Longhorn Nation. But for schools to bolt the Big 12 because of Texas only feeds that arrogance. I agree with why Nebraska left for the Big Ten. I think the Aggies were making decisions on emotions and if they do end up going I think they are making a huge mistake for them. For me I am looking forward to that 2 hour drive to Bryan every other year and watch the Corp squeeze their Aggies from the pain the Tigers are going to lay on them.

Its easy to throw bold predictions out this time of year. I read guys like you year after year and what I never read is anyone that took such great shots in the dark follow up with an article reminding us what a great sharpshooter you are. I would...I have a feeling that since I never read those that they don't happen. You up for the challenge?
