Gators vs. 'Noles in Florida Field, Day-after-Thanksgiving-game, 1980--first time we finally beat them during my undergrad.: Close until intro of "Gator Chomp" (First time ever done--sheets handed out as we entered stadium with detailed directions on when, and "How to")...close game until early in 2nd qrtr., when cheerleaders, band and announcer led crowd; whole stadium went quiet, then, with horns doing their thing, arms shot up and "Clap" began, faster-and-faster--like the Nuremburg Rally, I swear: the FSU players were looking around, bewildered and a little intimidated, and from that point in the game on, it was a slaughter--final score, something like 35-3, Gators.
