Matt's Bio

I'm an undergrad at Cornell University where I play volleyball. I wrote fantasy baseball for a while at www.rotodish.com, but fell out of the game...

I love anything to do with sports or competition and can put a comedic twist on anything, so send me a message/email (mstrach1@yahoo.com) with any cool ideas or opportunities and I'm down like Foxy Brown.

  1. Hey Matt—Jeff here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our Fantasy Baseball page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at jeff@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,

    Jeff

  2. Hey Matt, thanks for participating in the roundtable article. I finally got it finished and published it. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  3. Hey Matt,

Here's everything you ever wanted to know about how Writer Rankings work on Bleacher Report: http://bleacherreport.com/writer_rankings

Take a look and let me know if you still have questions. Have a great weekend!

  4. Matt, just responding to your question about editing. Just click edit up top, sign in, and read the tutorial and all that good stuff. Then if you're reading someone's article and see a necessary edit you'd like to make, there should be an edit button towards the right side of the screen for you to click on. Hope this helps. ~Peace

  5. I actually completely agree with your sentiment that actors don't necessarily stop being good—and despite the strangeness of the situation, Ledger did go out on top, which unfortunately worked perfectly.

I didn't really know what the reaction would be for that article, as it's kind of a touchy subject. The two things I was comparing were really far apart from each other in the grand scheme of things, and I felt it was very vulnerable to accusations that I'm belittling Ledger's memory—something I definitely don't wish to be accused of.

Either way, thanks for the words Matt. And don't be concerned about the fantasy writing...Fantasy sports are a great outlet, and you write about what works for you! Keep up the good work :)

  6. Matt
the Mets will make a deal this week for a corner OF....they were hoping for Church to come around, but that might not happen

  7. Thanks for the kind words. If you ever want to vent about volleyball, I'm here for ya buddy.

  8. Get rest in favor of whom? Kevin Mulvey?

The young starters in Minnesota need to continue to pitch well if the Twins want any chance at all this year. There is really no other alternative.
