I'm 45 years old and have lived my entire life in Northeast Tennessee. I grew up going to NASCAR races and Reds games with my Dad. I haven't heard anything but the only thing I can imagine that they would be announcing is that they have received their official letter from the NCAA.

If it had anything to do with their futures I don't think they would do it the day before national signing day for the football program, so I am just assuming it's that announcement.

I do remember seeing Rob Lewis of Volquest, who works the basketball beat for them, saying that they were expecting to receive that letter by the last week of January or first week of February.

Tis the season for college football. But starting tomorrow the count down begins for pitchers and catchers to report. Only around 34 days till the Reds 2011 season kicks off!
