I love hockey. The Sabres are my team; and have been for as long as I can remember. I can still remember being about 9 years old and my parents, and my little brother and some neighbors and their kids all piled into a couple of cars and drove to Cleveland to watch the Sabres play the Cleveland Barons. We won 13-3. I remember the chants (1..2..3..4..5 we want 6). I remember when we got there, these girls (young like me) were bragging about how great their team was, and how we rubbed every single goal in their face, by waving our Sabres banners in the air.
I remember games at the Aud. I remember raising the roof for Bob Sauve. I remember the great years with Tom Barasso and Dominic Hasek, and all the other greats. There was never a better time than sitting up there in the oranges at the Aud, hoping you didn't fall, and watching some great hockey - without all the equipment they wear now. I remember thinking of the irony of Playfairs name - although in hindsight, he played fair, he just liked to fight.
In any case, I'm a Sabres Girl, through and through. I'll watch football, as long as it doesn't interfere with a hockey game.
Oh, and I hate the Leafs ;)
i'm no troll, i leave comments as a International hockey fan. Hockey is a Canadian national sport and i love Canada, the nature, the people, the Hockey fans. if i get the money and opportunity i will live there in the future :) on the Internet we can disagree, but i wouldn't call you a troll because you do not agree with everything i write. :) have a nice day/evening .

Hey I wrote an article on the current state of NHL writers on Bleacher Report and I think it's an important read to members of the community. Take a look when you get a chance. Thanks.

At least you are healthy and doing well ... hockey can be tough to take on sometimes, i have gone more than five years upset by my team! lol
well, heads up, there is not only hockey in life! :p especially that you got a family, two bundles of joy, lucky you! ;)
take care,
Miah :)
Hi Brenda
Passion drips from your page... and you are from Buffalo, awesome! I have been to the old Aud for a one of my first NHL games... it was just the best. Sat in the end Orange seats and I thought they would shake loose from the first whistle. What a memory! Though I live in T-Dot, my team is the Wings, I have been to a few Leaf games but nothing compares to the atmosphere you generate in Buffalo in the Aud or HSBC. HomeTown Proud.
hi Brenda!
I hope things are good. I just wanted to drop by to say hi!
Miah ;)

Brenda, thanks for correcting my typo in my Caps story today. i caught it on my blog, but forgot to come back here and fix it. appreciate the feedback!
the Sabres really laid a pasting on the Caps Saturday. Caps have been playing very listless of late. a little more fire last night though.
thanks again.
