A displaced New Englander, I'm caught up in the buzz surrounding most of the Boston-area sports teams (Sorry, Bruins).

But I'm not a bandwagon fan. I remember when the Sox sucked and the Steve Grogan-led Patriots were better known as the Patsies.

I'm also a big fan of less-than-popular sports like college hockey. (Go Maine!)

I now live in the Midwest, where I'm a public relations officer for the School of Medicine at a major state university.

I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and I've also worked at several newspapers in Maine, Iowa and Missouri.

    Hey Matt,

    I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
