Thanks for the clarification Brian. I didn't realize the number of reads includes outside sources as well, I thought it referred to only within BR. Brian, great job compiling the funniest quotes, it was a fun read and a well written article. But what I want to know is how did you generate so many reads (39,000+)? Did it just happen, or did you send it out to other venues? Is there some trick to this, other than to write interesting pieces, because I would love to generate more reads. Any advice?

I hear you. It should be an entertaining game. I think UT will get them. UCLA has too many injuries and UT too much offensive firepower.

I (the one that writes on bleacher report) am an Auburn fan. My friend Chris and myself started a blog which we both write on. I transfer some of the articles we write here and basically handle everything on this end.

If you see a Tennessee article, it was probably written by the Tennessee half (Chris). I (Ben) do most of the commenting and all that good stuff.

Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

I actually didn't know too much about DeSean Jackson until the Eagles drafted him, but I did see some of his returns on YouTube. Simply phenomenal. I'm just hoping that that translates to the NFL, in a big way.

Hey, you deserved it! Yes, I'm a big Todd Helton fan.

Peyton Manning was a blessing for being at UT at the same time as Todd, because if not, I don't know if I would have ever gotten to see him in a Colorado Rockies Uniform, or a baseball uni at all for that matter.

Chris Lofton is also one of my favorites.

Well, I admire Bruce Pearl, even if his colors are ugly. It's Fulmer that I despise. I'd rather go 1-11 the next 20 years beating Tennessee 20 times than win 5 national titles and allow Tennessee to win the title once, even if we beat Tennessee all 20 times in the latter scenario. That is how much I despise the Vols. Plus, basketball isn't really a sport.

Onto Wayno. It's hard to explain, really. He became my favorite player the first time I saw him play in 1999. His work ethic, determination, heart in spite of the fact that he was not a naturally gifted athlete really inspired me. He had a wicked serve, arguably the greatest lefty serve in the history of the game, but besides that he always was the worst player in the top 100 in any possible category. Forehand, backhand, speed, agility, he was terrible.

Yet he stubbornly stuck to the serve-and-volley and even return-and-volley game to incomparable heights for a person of his talent. I myself achieved a lot more athletically than I was ever meant to achieve and I attribute much of that to Wayne Arthurs. If he can be one of the 50 best tennis players in the world at one point, then I sure as heck can win a wrestling match. He provided me with confidence, even if he consistently lacked much in his own game.

If I could meet 10 living people in sports, 1-5 would be Wayne Arthurs, 6 would be John Wooden, 7 would be Keith Jackson (announcer, not tight end), 8 would be Phil Georgeff, 9 would be Gary Smith, and 10 would be Wayne Arthurs.

Of course, that list altered substantially this year with the passings of Ross Morton and Jim McKay.

should have probably written that somewhere. even if you are going off the coaches poll Alabama was 26th, just 6 votes from 25. I mean, if you are going to use one uniform standard that is good, but it just shows a clear bias when you show one team as 9th and then another which just happens to be a huge rival of your school "20-50" when that school is 24th and 26th in the respective rankings.

Also, don't have a problem with you picking Clemson, it was the percentage that you came up with. With Clemson's huge problems at offensive line and linebacker, there is now way it's a 65% chance right now. The spread is at 5 points, and you spot them 10 even though Alabama hasn't loss by more than a touchdown under Nick Saban.

That particular prediction just didn't make a whole lot of sense. I liked your article as a whole and not saying you should have picked Alabama, just not been so blatantly bias against the Tide, or if you say you weren't being bias, maybe you just needed to look in depth a little more about the game.

Anyway, nice article overall. Just trying to help you out. (some of our fans can be real assholes if they think someone is dogging the Tide for no reason)

Steve Young, 3rd all-time in completion percentage, 1st in career passer rating, 1st in TD's by a QB, Super Bowl MVP, with arguably worse players than Montana had. Montana was a great QB though, of course, 4 Super Bowls, can't argue with that really. Both Bay Area legends.

That happens to me every now and then. What I do is open another tab with the Write a New Article form in it and copy and paste everything into that. Once I publish it from that new tab, and I just close the other one. It's probably some sort of bug in the platform.
