I'm one half of the Managing Madrid team, a student at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and a full-time armchair manager of Real Madrid. I grew up watching Madrid play at the Bernabéu, and some of my earliest memories are of celebrating in or around the Cibeles after we won the 1995 Liga and the 1996 Champions.
Well, hey. Didn't know you were on here.
This might interest you Gabe:
No worries mate!
Just thought I'd mention it here, IX is 9.. it should be XI...
Gave, thanks so much for being a writer for Real Madrid.
Just wanted to say that I appreciated your work! In terms of team support, we are exact opposites (born Barca fan here), but we both share an apparent love of football and balanced, unbiased writing. It is great to see that on this site and I enjoy your articles. I always enjoy finding fans of my arch rivals that I have respect for.
Hi, I'm not a Madrid fan but I do enjoy your podcast. I'm glad you guys brought it back. : )
i noticed on you website a few strikers.....you also said they were not cup tied.
from what i understand a players is cup tied if he plays the qualification rounds of the europa league or the champions league, plus ofcourse the group stage of said cups.
i remember not so long ago madrid was only given the option of playin either lass or hunterlaar, since both were cup tied when purchased by our last stupid sporting director....we choose lass and got overrun by liverpool in the second leg.
so could you find out on the rule for me?
i didnt see the game on saturday....saw some highlights it looked as if we played with a three man central midfield (at home)
could you send me the lineups and who came on?
see why i wanted a thee man central midfield gabe...we allowed xavi too much time and space on the ball.
why did mourinho start with both ozil and benzema is beyond me.
ozil was rubbish,he never tackled or kept track of xavi.
