About

My name's Guy Harrison and I am a 27-year-old ex-pat of Philadelphia living in Arizona. Of course, I'm a huge fan of all Philly sports teams and will mostly write about them on Bleacher Report. I attended college at Barry University in Miami, FL before earning a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. I currently work for a community college public relations office.

Phillies Win 2008 World Series, 4-1, against the Tampa Bay Rays

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

While living in St. Pete, FL, I had the privilege of attending Game 1 of the 2008 World Series

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripken's 2,632 consecutive games played

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. Mays was amazing but Ruth was more of a mythological being.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Definitely Montana, though I never saw Unitas play so I might be a bit biased.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan, but, once again, I never saw Russell play.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. Orr is like Lemiuex. Would have have gone down with a greater legacy had he avoided injuries.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Don't watch soccer, except the world cup so I'm not sure.

  • Federer or Sampras?

I'm not sure about this either but I find them both incredibly boring!

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Slight edge to Tiger

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Petty

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Don't know Formula 1. Probably go with Schumacher because that's who I know.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Depends on the sport. Overall, my favorite is the Big 10. Football, you obviously go SEC. Basketball, you go ACC.

    Hey Guy,

Thanks for "fanning" me; you know what I mean. I'm sure you'll be writing some columns soon--which judging from your comments, I greatly look forward to.

I've been addicted to BR all day...hey, I like your Ruth/Mays answer as well...
