David Cattai is a sports writer from the Philadelphia area, specifically South Philadelphia. He is currently a junior Communication Major, who double tracks in Mass Media & Journalism, at La Salle University.
He is the President of the La Salle Club Baseball team, an honor he received during the middle of his sophomore season.
Has covered sports for media outlets such as The Collegian, which is La Salle's student newspaper, and Broad Spectrum Sports, specifically Buzz On Broad & Phielder's Choice, where he serves as Associate Editor, Lead Contributor and is a credentialed member of the Philadelphia media.
Works as a Digital Journalism (Media) intern at La Salle's Athletic Department, where he manages live-streaming events of all university sports. He also produces, edits, and publishes video, audio, and interview content for the school's website.
He also co-hosts a weekly podcast through iTunes ('Phielder's Voice' Podcast) through BuzzOnBroad.com, a CBS Philly pick for "Sports Blog of the Year."
Was a graduate at one of Philadelphia's top-private schools, St. Joseph's Preparatory, in 2011.

Will the Phillies use more of the shift in 2014? According to BJO, teams that deploy the shift saved 89 runs. This number could be higher if it was used against the top 100 pull hitters in stead of only a few.
