Welcome to my little corner on Bleacher Report! For starters, I am your New York Jets Community Leader, and I'm definitely here to help. Feel free to drop a note if you need anything. That goes for everything from advice and comments, to article edits.

My goal is to define myself through my writing, so any details shared in this biography section would be fairly basic.

I'm 24 years old and live in Brooklyn, NY. Sports journalism has been a lot of fun for me, but I'm definitely not limited to it.

For the better part of the last decade, my writing revolved around lyrics as I was involved in New York's independent Hip-Hop scene. It was great while it lasted, but the genre became a bit too stale and fickle for my tastes.

When I'm not writing, I'm usually spending time with my lady, or gaming. If you've got an Xbox 360, feel free to send a friend request to "Amen Barksdale." If you have a PS3, add "AmenBk." I'll be sure to accept, and maybe we can get some games going.

Hey Angel, thanks for checking in. All is well, not sleeping much but I've learned sleep is overrated. Still had time to make a Tom Brady spoof music video, if you haven't seen it, i posted it last week. I don't know if you'll apreciate it, but you can at least feel my pain :). Looks like the AFC East is going to be a battle to the finish this year, huh?

I'm boring. As I'm sure you're aware, I work seven days a week. I then spend my free time being told what to do by the lady, which right now is watch Season One of Supernatural and go apartment hunting online (we're moving to North Carolina in December). It sounds boring, but I enjoy it.

Hi Angel. My husband and I were big Joe Namath fans back in the day. I can tell you, no footbal player ever looked as good in a pair of women's pantyhose. Thank you for leaving the note on my page. I hope someday to regain my "thing" for MMA, but until I do, I am still a sports nut. My overall fascination with athletics and athletes will keep me reading on B/R, maybe not with the same intensity, but I will still be around. See ya later!

I am in Philly on business just watching the JETS give this Monday Night game away. I'll let you direct the round table, however I will be out of commission this week. I am in an intense course at the Wharton School of business where I am in class from 8am to 9pm until Sat. I think that will be too late to contribute. After that, I have no more obligations. But he's the sad thing that I must apologize for. I'm actually out of town until Friday. I'll more opportunity for Internet access later in the week, so if and when I get a chance I'll do my best to come back and clean something up for you, but I can make no promises.

As for the headline, it's pretty decent as is. I might eliminate the word "fan" because every fan considers themselves a part of the team anyways. That way you can just refer to the team and they feel included. Unless you're talking about what the fans can expect (dirty language, nice weather, decent concession food).

Again, sorry for being squeezed for time right now. I really will try to get back to you before Friday if possible. If nothing else, just go with your gut. You're an extremely talented writer, you don't need to second-guess yourself.

angel, no doubt. i agree there (supporting ryan). like i said in my piece on the game, i felt like the o-line really let down the young qb, after he got blistered. i think these kinds of growing pains will be expected but i believe the coaching staff is perfectly suited for this team and they'll make sure they compete in each game. that's all i really meant with the uninspired thing--i feel like a comment like that is a holdover from previous teams and regimes. this is a totally different falcons teams. thanks for listening.

hey man. enjoy your work. just wanted to carry on the conversation from the power rankings regarding the falcons.

i agree with the things you said in the reply, but still want to fight for the uninspired comment. they shut down the bucs offense well after those first two early scores. that 68-yard run by graham does not sit well with me; it was as a big play and one tackle would have stopped it.

Thanks for the edits, I am glad you enjoyed the article.

Feel free to edit my work in that way to make it more Bleacher Report style anytime you want. I am not a practiced writer, never studied it in college. I just do it for fun, so I don't profess to be have great knowledge of Chicago Manual style writing. I think that is how we wrote in Grade school, but I don't remember much. I just like putting words together. Sp please edit whenever you like, I will never take it personally.

Hey Angel,

Tough one for your team this weekend, but it's still early and i'm sure they will bounce back, plus Favre will be a lot more comfortable in November for the rematch, that will surely be another battle. Pulling for you guys against the Chargers, nothing would make me happier than seeing them 0-3. Yes, as much as i dislike the Jets I dislike San Diego even more.

Please, that article came a long time ago. I find myself with less and less to do on your pieces...And it makes me kind of sad. I feel useless, but happy for you.

The hyphen is subjective in some cases, so you can always take it out if you don't like how it looks. I hyphen things like "special-teams play" for the same reason that I hyphen "minor-league pitcher." Yes, most sports enthusiast don't need it, but some of the people that are newer to sports might, so I just add it to avoid confusion for them.

There is a gray area on tagging, but if the player or team is only mentioned in passing there is no need to put a tag in there. I've been instructed that "less is more" when it comes to tags, so the fewer tags the more weight those tags may have.

I don't recall specifically which tags your article had, but the best way to think of it is "If I searched for this tag, would I want an article like this to show up?"

I think you had a Kris Jenkins tag; while the article touched on him, it's not about him enough for him to get a tag. If I searched for Jenkins, that story wouldn't exactly be inappropriate to see, but it probably wouldn't be what I was looking for, you know? I hope that explains what I mean.

yes I can see how he would have gotten pissed after being hit by a water bottle. He was probably so bent out of shape his brother or girlfriend probably took him out of there before he did something h would have regretted . He's not afraid to mix it up, that's for sure. He was in the Golden Gloves in 1981. He made it to the semis as a light heavy. You know he can't get into a fight, he'd lose his pension...which is another reason why he's not at games any more. The FDNY has their eye on him. He'll be 50 years old soon, too. I mean how long can he go on anyway?

I have many other friends who never miss a game regardless of record or weather. I tell them they are mentally ill. They tell me they hate their wives and need to get away. I tell them there better places to escape to than the Meadowlands in December, if that's the case......

I know Fireman Ed Anzalone for nearly 30 years. We played football and softball together in Flushing for years. He is THE Jet fan. His not attending games - so I'm told - is not his choice. Don't quote me on this, but I beleive the FDNY has mandated that he not appear at games while on disability and rehabbing his injury...just something I heard..

It's challenging but not over challenging I mean I like it. The media department has some solid professors. The real challenge is getting in and out of Manhattan from Jersey. Are you jets season ticket holder? My girlfriend recently got newer season tickets and we will now be in section 101. J-E-T-S jets jets jets haha. I wish they would get Favre seeing how I am or was a packers fan. But I think the team needs to address other issues first.
