That is a good question. Honestly I am not sure and there are a lot of things that weigh into that. The right manager can make it a seamless transition once those two are gone, I thinks that is what is most important. If you look at a team like Dortmund, I honestly thing a lot of their players are overrated in relation to how they would fit elsewhere. On Dortmund with those guys they are perfect, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if they were to leave. I mean this season can really come down to poor management and nothing more. Not saying they would have won the league, but I think they definitely would be more competitive. I think guys like McEachran, Bertand, Lukaku, Romeu, etc are ready to play at this level. It all comes down to them being the right fit. If they find that then there is no reason they cannot be competitive every year.

If you want a good laugh, go and have a look at Jake Ware's "top 50 Liverpool players" article. It's utter crap, yet it's got TEN TIMES more reads than the roundtable purely because he has "power rankings" and "top 50" in the title.

Jake. Sorry I didnt respond sooner to your question on my wall. Honestly I think Liverpool could do much better than people think. They will have more off time this season, and more time to focus on getting back to the Champions League, and also on getting back to the top of the table.

The new owners know how to bring a team back to glory because they did it with the Boston Red Sox. Kenny's new signings also are much more daft than I feel people believe them to be. Those guys want to play for Liverpool, that makes them all the much better.

I think a a second or third place finish in the most likely, but I could see them take the title out of complete surprise to anyone.
