Neil's Bio
I've always loved sports since I was very little. Growing up in a small village in the Philippines, I can remember watching replays of Michael Jordan's Bulls era dominate the NBA. Watching that man poetically and artistically play the game of basketball was like watching Michaelangelo paint a certain church ceiling. When I moved to the US, I was introduced beyond the world of Soccer and Basketball. American Football and Hockey became my new love for sports. While the era of Michael Jordan is long and gone, with sports you can never be down for too long knowing another greatness is coming around the corner.

Very good point about Robben. He is probably the best winger in the world at getting up the side and in a position to shoot or deliver the cross but it has been that shot or cross that has been off and now teams know he is the only one doing anything for Madrid—we would have been waxed by Valencia without him—so they are putting all their defensive effort towards him.
An interesting move in my opinion would be to move Gago up further in the midfield and insert de la red. It may be a more defensive minded midfield than Schuster would like but with the way the back four are playing we need it. Also Gago and De la Red are absolutely fantastic playmakers from the midfield and whole Gago has proved himself to a certain point I have to say De la Red could be one of the best players on the team if he is given the chance to grow.
The international break scares me because as you said we always come back slow and a 0-2 start would not be good.

I completely agree. I know City made a few huge bids today including Villa and Berbatov but I didn't see Robinho in that group. But come to think of it, I am not surprised. Madrid wanted to get rid of him because of how he has been acting but because of how the whole situation had progressed they didnt want to send him to Chelsea. So I can just imagine Calderon getting the call from City and saying 40 million and he goes to Chelsea's rival, Score!
But it is an interesting move. I am pretty upset to not see a replacement come through. We did not play with a very devastating lineup this week and I was not impressed in the least. We looked terrible. Higuain may get a chance to prove himself as a winger now and I think he has the capability to really grow in to the role.

I don't know if you watch much American Football but the situation with Ronaldo and Robinho reminds me of what happened recently with Brett Favre and Jeff Garcia with the Tampa Bay Bucs is upset because his team was going after Favre and he thinks that it shows they have no faith in him. And this is exactly what Robinho is saying and I completely understand where he is coming from. Having said that, I really hope that he stays. Chelsea made a bid for him today and I hope we turn it down but I don't know what will happen. With Robinho on one wing and Robben on the other and Guti or VDV in the center of the midfield, this team would have a devastating attack. I really hope he sticks around.
I guess we will see in the next few days.

Neil,
I'm administrating the fantasy football league and want to send everyone an email before the league starts. Can you post your email on my wall, then I'll delete it once I jot it down. Thanks man.
