John Crist has spent a decade covering the game of football at every angle, from high school recruiting to the Super Bowl and everything in between.

Originally starting as a stringer for the Tallahassee Democrat, Crist eventually went to work for FOX Sports covering the Chicago Bears as the publisher of Bear Report and After five years on the Bears beat, he relocated with FOX to cover Florida State—his alma mater—as the editor-in-chief of

In between stints covering the Bears and Seminoles, Crist was the NFL analyst for specializing in coverage of free agency, the Senior Bowl, the Scouting Combine and the NFL draft.

Aside from the game of football, Crist has been credentialed for college basketball; college, minor league and Major League Baseball; minor league hockey; the WTA Tour; and both the PGA and LPGA Tours. He was also a Heisman Trophy voter for five years, although only once did he end up voting for the actual winner: Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel in 2012.

Crist currently lives in Tallahassee with his wife and two beagles, and in January he became a father for the first time after the birth of his son, Conrad.
