Matt's Bio

Just graduated from the Univ. S.Carolina where I studied Geography. Now getting my masters back home in Western Pa in environmental geography.

Yes i know that Geography is about the furthest thing away from journalism, but hey I like writing about my Pittsburgh teams, and giving my two-cents on them so why not right?

Sports are my favorite thing to watch, especially college football, nfl, and nhl.

I am a die hard Pittsburgh fan through and through. I was raised in western Pa so I bleed black and gold, no matter how bad some teams can be **pirates**. I have no writing experience, but I do enjoy doing it, so why not?

I played hockey for seven years growing up, and after that I had the opportunity to coach for three years as well. Being able to see the game from two separate vantage points really helped me in understanding the game a lot more than I did while I was just playing.

    I've written about this before, but changed my style a bit in this one. For some reason, I just can't get NHL fever out of my head. I had enough of watching meaningless NBA highlights. I finally chose to speak my mind...again.
