My name is Joshua Schermerhorn, but go simply by Josh. I grew up in upstate New York in the small town of Fort Ann, nearby beautiful Lake George. I attended Plattsburgh State University to study journalism, and ended up with my degree. My passion is sports, or anything competitive that resembles sports. My next passion is writing about them. Every article I wrote I put great effort into, but whenever a sports topic arose, I put forth my best because I feel the most comfortable in the environment. I plan to do that on this site for everything I write. My love in sports is the New York Yankees, but I have good knowledge in most any sport. If you want to know anymore about me, just ask away.
Why did you write a second article on trading Mark Teixeira away?
So.....you write another controversial story, you get heavily criticized for it by the readers, and you don't respond to any of it?? As a featured columnist, how can you shy away and hide like that?
Also, to be fair, I never suggested the trade/signing would be done. I just stated the pros and cons, then made an assumption on what would happen from those pros and cons.
Just doing the story I was assigned to do Doug.
OK, Josh, I really have to wonder what the point of doing a Teixeira for Fielder trade story was, then going on it and saying it would never happen? What's the point of doing the story to begin with?
At least in mine, I addressed the Fielder free agency issue, and evaluated the pros and cons.
You acted like Fielder could be traded for Teixeira, which could never happen, and just defeats the purpose of putting out that kind of story.
Hey, would you be able to send your e mail to klangan@omnipossible.com? I want to get the B/R community leaders on a mailing list for a press release on behalf of Sports Media 101.
Thanks
