any young colombian footballers to really watch out for (apart from james rodriguez, who i already know of)?

I always felt Parma misused Dorlan Pabón because they would just kick it out to Amauri or Ishak Belfodil and hope the big men scored.

Increasingly frustrated, Pabón started taking ill-advised shots, didn't even bother to track back and it seemed to me that he disobeyed quite a few of what management wanted him to do on the field.

Unsurprisingly, he was one of the worst players in Serie A at the time and the club sent him out on loan to Real Betis.

Amazing how much a bit of faith, smart management and a change of scenery can do to a player's confidence.

Pabón has been elite in the past few months, scoring goals vs. Malaga, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Barcelona. All these teams are in the top half of the table.

I have Colombia, who are stacked with dynamic goal scorers, going deep into next year's FIFA World Cup tournament.

Yeah I realized my comment came off as bitter, which really I'm not. I always knew Fredy was moving on. But I was hoping for one more season, especially since the team was really coming together there. It's a massive blow to the attack. Of EJ's 16 goals, 9 of them came from Fredy or Mauro. Now there's a rumor Mauro might leave for Chile.

I missed the game. Working, as usual.

I guess it's more accurate to say that I wish Fredy well, since he is one of my favorite players. But if he does not do well, he's always welcome back in Seattle....
