thanks for your edits!

I have noticed sometimes the #(ranking) format is OK with editors, other times--as you cited--"No. (#)" is preferred. I wonder if it's generally a matter of preference. Either way, I want to go with what the site indicates as preferable.

ian, thanks for the feedback and the read. a few things:

i guess you could say it's "my style" to type in lower case--maybe i'm the e.e. cummings of sports writing. i understand the change though and i'll consider leaving it. that's what brings me to your board.

should i just stick with my traditional blog on another site (in this same "open letter" format) to retain the personality of my work--the language, the incomplete sentences (with ellipses), the lack of capitalization, etc. i'm getting the feeling that this site is for more traditional (professional?) work and the rough edges of my style might now fit in here.

i'm a professional writer so i understand your edits completely.

just experimenting here...curious about your thoughts.

Thanks for the encouragement and taking the time to make important edits. Only one minor bit of feedback: having been raised in a more academic environment, I reject the style of blogs that lean toward one sentence paragraphs and try to limit them.
I prefer more of a hybrid style with shorter paragraphs than academia but still favour two-three sentences in most cases. As co-Community leader for the Sharks, I also favour that style for articles on the team. Don't worry about forgetting that exception: I frequently check for and edit Sharks articles.
