Florida sure runs a rogue program under that supreme scoundrel Urban Meyer…

Dustin Doe - arrested for driving with a suspended license in July 2009. He should get life, right? He was also mistakenly ID in a fight but the charges were dropped. Not according to the press though.

Carl Johnson - violation of a restraining order in February 2009. The young lady who filed the restraining order got on a bus Carl was already on. It was a campus bus. He got off at the next stop. Thug, right?

Riley Cooper - didn't move fast enough when a cop said to move. Charges dropped. Why wasn't he tasered?

Cam Newton - bought a laptop from somebody on campus who stole the laptop. When the police traced the laptop Newton panicked and threw it out the window. A mistake to be sure but apparently it didn't launch a career as a criminal. In fact I think Meyer overreacted kicking him off the team.

How about the December 2007 charges against Jermaine Cunningham. He was charged with throwing a paper cup, not filled, at a sandwich shop employee. Assault with a deadly cup must be a felony where you come from Hunter.

In October 2007 Tony Joiner was arrested for "breaking" into an impound lot to get his girlfriend's car. Turns out the owner of the towing company cleared it with Tony to get his car and "breaking in" involved walking through open gates and starting the car. "Say hello to my little friend!!", right?

In May 2007 Dorian Monroe was charged with removing a boot from his car by UPD. A regular Al Capone isn't he?

Now how about the more serious stuff…

Avery Atkins thrown off the team for domestic assault.

Ronnie Wilson thrown off the team for firing a AK-47 in the air. A year later he tried to walk-on but he was thrown off again for a assault and battery charge before the season started.

Jamar Hornsby thrown off the team for using credit cards taken from a dead UF coed killed with a teammate in a motorcycle accident.

Dawayne Grace - charged with fighting in July but charges dropped. Thrown off the team for another fight in October.

Jacques Rickerson - thrown off the team for domestic assault. Earlier charged with smoking pot.

Avery Atkins - thrown off the team for domestic battery. Died of a drug overdose and this one bothers Meyer to this day because he feels he should have done more for Atkins.

Jon Demps - thrown off the team for driving with a suspended license and a pot infraction.

Florida has had some DUI, motor vehicle and pot problems. They have had some more serious issues and in every case the player was thrown off the team. The team also has over 100 players every year so answer me this Hunter.

What would you do? It's easy for me because I never drank or smoked pot in college and I was always a perfect angel apparently just like you. Florida has the same issues as every school but you don't say anything about Meyer not recruiting good players who do have a history of questionable decisions and illegal activity. Note I used the word "history". While I'm sure you never made mistakes as a 20 year old it happens and unless it's serious Gator players usually get a second chance. They earn that chance though. WR Frankie Hammond, Jr got arrested for a DUI and was kicked off the team. He can practice but he is paying his way this semester, he is nowhere to be found on the depth chart (how many games he will be suspended hasn't been announced yet) and he is doing his penance Meyer Style which I imagine involves running long distances while carrying heavy objects. He's doing this with no guarantee he will be allowed back.

BTW, Hammond is a pretty good kid who never got into trouble before and made a mistake. He's paying for his mistake like a man. Will you pay for your obvious bias in your article?

You mention Percy Harvin had problems in high school but fail to mention it was one fight, he was suspended from all high school activities after that fight and it didn't stop every major school in the country from recruiting him. BTW, Percy never got into trouble in Gainesville and has stayed clean in the NFL too. It seems to me once a punk always a punk and Harvin doesn't fit that definition.

But hey…don't let facts and truth stand in the way of a good story right?

Just like Jarvis Moss who failed ONE test for pot and was suspended a game. I don't see his name on any police blotters nor did he fail any more drug tests at UF.

Because I'm fairer than you and believe in the facts the other infractions not listed were Brandon James charged with a misdemeanor possession charge for buying pot from an undercover cop. Torrey Davis was thrown off the team for driving knowingly with a suspended license. Louis Murphy charged with pot possession but the charges were dropped. Walk-on Marquis Hannah charged with battery and burglary. He claims he was retrieving his own property but he was thrown off the team. Janoris Jenkins charged with affray and resisting arrest without violence over a late night fight in a parking lot. Charges were dropped when it came out Jenkins was assaulted and just defending himself and he got upset that he was getting arrested.

Fess up Hunter. You went to FSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, LSU or Miami, right? I bet you want Meyer fired because you are tired of losing to him.
