    Clare,

    Even as a huge Cards fan, I am happy to see your boy Samardzija doing well. I was a fan of his style as a wideout at Notre Dame (not the team as a whole, Go Wolverines!), but I digress. Great story nonetheless on Samardzija and the Cubbies.

    Thanks for the note Clare. That is a really excellent point. A majority of the kids out there, for whatever reasons, just don't make the cut and that hurts emotionally. I love sports, but our society puts too much importance on them.
