  I've been a reader of yours for the last 6 months and really appreciate the in-depth analysis and research you've done on the debacle that is the NCAA's handling of the USC case.
  
  One topic that I'm hoping that someone at Bleacher Report will pick up and write about is the disparate treatment between how the NCAA deals with USC versus just about any other school from another conference.
  
  The most recent example being Ohio State. How much more biased and discriminatory can you get? This is a situation where the coach ACTIVELY covered up activities of his players that are in violation of NCAA rules. And how does Sweater Vest get and Ohio State get sanctioned? A few games suspension, no scholarship reductions, no bowl bans AND the players in question got to play in a Bowl Game AFTER they were found to be non-compliant.
  
  Contrast that to USC's situation where the player actively hid his activities from the coach and institution, leaving them no possibility to mitigate the circumstances, self-report, or discipline the player. The NCAA even found that USC had one of the best compliance programs in the country. And yet what happens to our Cardinal and Gold out west? We get hit with the toughest sanctions since SMU.
  
  At the very least the NCAA should be investigated for Racketeering and Anti-Trust violations. They should also be investigated for the false and misleading statements that they've made to congress and for not living up to commitments they made to congress.
  
  I'm not an attorney, so I don't know the technical terms, but I believe that each party in a contract (like the one schools have with the NCAA) has the right to due processes that meet a minimum standard of fairness and consistent treatment (as compared to other parties in said contract). If not met, the injured party can recover damages from the offending party. In this case, and if you go back in time (e.g. the 70's and 80's) I think even an average attorney could make the case that the NCAA has treated USC unfairly harsh and more severely than it's peers over many decades.
  
  Apologies for the length of this post, but you can see I'm passionate about the Trojans Football program. But I do think a report on the absolute farce that is supposedly NCAA discipline (like the one that broke the Reggie Bush story) is the first step in getting a just result for USC and Coach McNair.
