I'm a post-graduate at the University of Mary in N. Dakota. I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii. I am a US Army Veteran. I played high school football, and while in the military. I used to powerlift in the military. I am one of many Hawaiians who enjoy the ocean and water. I compete in Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe racing, where in which I've raced and competed in the Molokai Hoe which is considered the World Championships of outrigger canoe paddling. I love to surf, bodysurf, bodyboard, skin dive, and fish. I've done a good deal of fishing in the Upper Midwest. When it comes to water I've done it all.
I enjoy keeping up with all types of sports such as all levels of football. I'm a huge Hawaii Warriors and Wahine fan. In Hawaii we're big on Volleyball - Men's and Women's.I'm a Rockies Fan. I like MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Kung fu, Karate, Aikido, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding, Hockey, and Ironman and Xtera sports.
I'm a huge supporter of education and would like to some day work in the public school systems. I'm passionate about having sports in special education and at all-levels of education. I believe we've lost the fitness edge in our education systems.
About sports writing... I believe great sports writing is well thought out and unbias. If sports writing is bias, it shouldn't be arrogant and hurtful. It should be clean and straightforward. Great sports writing is justified and has content that moves and stirs emotion and is thought provoking. It always has depth. Good sports writing will make people think. However, Great sports writing will move people to do and believe.
