Tom Miles has mighty core muscles and could have been a pro in a number of sports: quoits, for example, shove ha'penny, ice sculpture (yes, it's real sport), but instead chose a life of lethargy and woman-chasing. Lethargic woman-chasing. Chasing lethargic women. Anyway, as Burgess Meredith once helpfully reminded Stallone - "WOMEN - WEAKEN - LEGS". Tom Miles eventually caught up with a lethargic woman and now participates in sport from the comfort of his sensibly-priced IKEA sofa and from time to time he writes about it. He follows West Ham United, the England Football, Cricket and Rugby teams (in that order) but his real sporting passion is/are the Boston Red Sox, for reasons which are far too various and obscure to delineate here.
