Daniel's Bio

Hi, I'm a known Montreal CANADIENS fanatic. And I weight my words carefuly and when I use fanatic, I use this word to its full definition.

I'm currently running TRICOLORE.CA, a site dedicated to the Canadiens, where we can read bilingual news, articles, get access to interesting information.

My passion about the Canadiens started when I was 9 years old, when no one else in my family followed hockey, but I was lucky enough to develop my passion by reading the newspaper; I was a La Presse paperboy since I was 9.

My earlist memory comes from when I had enough money to buy a black and white television just to watch hockey games! I would spend my saturday evenings watching games and I remeber one of my uncles coming to my room, wondering what I was doing and wondering who were winning:

'The Reds' I told him. He had a weird face when he looked at me; the television was black and white.

My passion comes from within, from the bones. I moved near the Bell Center, to be closer to games and I have the best girlfriend a fanatic like me could wish for.

  1. Sorry, I have been busy working on my site and studies. I'll be active more often during the season. :-)

  2. hey!

it has been a while we haven't heard of ur controversial pieces! lol!

Still, wanted to ask, have you heard about gagnon coming to RDS? I know bergeron should be analyst by this season, but apparently francois gagnon is on the field as well.

I thought you might know about this!

    keep in touch,
    Miah ;)

  3. no prob Daniel!

by the way, congrats on ur amazing piece!

    Miah :)

  4. Thanks for the welcome Miah, much appreciated!

M, my goodness, another CL. Interesting.

Yep, I live in Montreal. Any help would be much appreciated!

  5. 'Allo!

Looks like we are on the same page. I am a big hockey history buff (see my trivia series if you'd like proof, plus some fun!) and like to get as many facts as possible. I appreciate that you are doing your research... it's a lot of work, but always makes for a better article. I assume you are in Canada? Not that I can be of much help unless you are in my area, but I have a huge hockey library, and my folks own a used bookshop, in which they gather a great assortment of "stuff". Do you live in Montreal? If so, I may be able to point you in the best direction to find those clippings.

Anyway, good stuff, and welcome to Bleacher Report. I'm the Calgary Flames Community Leader, and if you need anything feel free to ask myself or any other memeber. Then again, you've been here a while, so I'm not implying you don't know the ropes! Just offering what I can.

Take care, go Canadiens, Flames, etc! Most importantly, Go Hockey.

    M

PS If you are up for it, check my profile later on. I'm going to be putting out an open discussion piece, and invite your comments and two cents!

enfin ... keep up with the amazing work!
    encore une fois, welcome aboard!

    Miah :)

  7. Yeah that's what I meant. Ha, keep up the good job.

  8. Thanks Matt. You mean you agree that it's not, right? ;-)

  9. Tyler, as I said, I was THERE, with my girlfriend and my DOG walking amongst the fans. It was just a few drunk losers who made some noise, but it wasn't as bad as the media made it believe. It was a propaganda.

Vandalism and riot are TWO different words.

  10. Daniel, good article on the upcoming season not being the Habs 100th. Really sparking some discussion. Keep up the good stuff. I agree with you that this season coming up is there 100th.

  11. "Supposed Riot", what are you talking about, Cars were on FIRE

  12. What riot? A few losers making some noise is a riot in Ontario? Not here. :-)

I was walking my dog with my girlfriend during that supposedly riot. It was much exagerated in order to make sure it didn't happen again. Nothing else.

The quiet revolution is an historical fact that Wikipedia will be glad to teach you.

Our second round was two rounds more than some other teams'. ;-)

  13. 'Quiet' revolution, just like that riot after the Habs one in the first round this year, Btw how'd that second round go.

  14. Dude, I don't care if it's cow shit, bull shit, horse shit, but that's what we, french canadians, believe. He was our first real hero, he's one of the main reason why we had a 'quiet' revolution in the 60s.

Richard, to us, when english canadians were controlling our province in every shape or form for over 100 years, is more important than Gretzky or Orr.

Hence the reference to Martin Luther King. Martin helped waking up the african american nation, well, to us, Richard did it too in a major way. He was a hockey player, and also a writer. He was our hero.

If you don't know about french canadian history, don't make a fool of yourself on my profile. As far as I'm concerned, I'm entitled to my own opinion on my frigging own profile, no?

  15. Hell No! you didn't just compare Maurice Richard to Martin Luther King Jr. that is complete bull shit!!
