We'll see how much experience matters this year. I'd rather have the highly touted 5 Star player who has all the talent and you'd rather have the exceptional 4 Star, 2 year starter.

I predict MSU's inexperienced receivers and Maxwell go off and have outstanding stats. But we will see.

Good analysis on the overrated teams, and even better was your shredding of Ben Townsend's "Texas will be better than God's own first team" rant. Your analysis of Texas is pretty well right on. They are becoming the next Florida State - overrated every year, and then they go out and convincingly prove that they were WAY overrated. I can't wait for the Frogs to come to Austin on Thanksgiving and pick apart that "much improved" defensive secondary of UT's.

By the way, I went to school with Turner Gill at Arlington Heights HS in Fort Worth. He was an incredible QB and I remember in '78 we got to the state regionals with him until we ran into the buzz saw of Odessa Permian in Abilene. I saw his name on your list of favorite coaches and thought I would mention it.

Your article on how Tj Yates having more potential than Andy Dalton was ok. However I cannot stress the word "could" enough. Id say Yates has a 5% chance to be better then what Dalton will become.
