I am born and raised on the Central Coast of California in the small town of Arroyo Grande. I stayed true to my California roots even as I attended and graduated in May of 2010 with a B.A. in Communication Studies from UNLV. I now am a graduate student working towards a M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Arkansas. While pursuing my M.A., I am a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Communications and I teach two sections of the Fundamentals of Communication course. In addition to my duties at Arkansas, I am also the Assistant Debate Coach at Crowder College in Neosho, MO as well as Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, AR.
I am proud of my California roots as a sports fan, and I have rooting interests in the San Diego Chargers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Lakers and the Anaheim Ducks. I grew up an enormous USC Trojans fan, but have now expanded my fan interests to accommodate my current school (Arkansas Razorbacks) and my alma mater (UNLV Runnin' Rebels).
Although I do have vested interests in a few teams, I by no means let it affect my love and appreciation for sports as a whole. I truly enjoy being apart of and watching any football, baskeball and baseball game (though preferably college in the case of football and basketball). In addition, I am also a fan of NASCAR, Major League Soccer, and the NHL. I take very seriously the job of covering sports and feel honored and cherished to have the opportunity to write about what I love.
