  1. Hey I would appreciate some input on my article: The Five Worst Sports Announcers in NY

  2. Hi Dan,

Thanks for the fan-add. Much appreciated!

  3. The Action Sports Community is up.... Could you join the community? It would be highly appreciated.

  4. Thanks for the note, the pick and for becoming a fan!

Yes, there are good things about Brunel. But there are less good things too - like not letting me have enough spare time to write!

  5. Dan, just picked up your article about overheating in sport, because Google picked up the reference to Brunel University, which is where I work (and have done for more years than I care to admit to!). I happen to be doing a feature on our Sports Sciences people for our next research magazine and Jose will be one of the components.

Anyway, only making contact because I've recently started writing on BL in my limited spare time (Brunel is a very demanding employer!). Wonder if you fancy looking at my most recent piece (the others won't be your cup of tea, I don't think). I'd be interesting in your opinion.

And I'll keep an eye open for more sport science features now I know you're here.

  11. Hey Dan,

I think it is a weird little site gremlin that will hopefully be solved very soon. I think you can still tag manually — i.e. if you just type in editorial you should be able to add the tag for it. If you can't though, I hope it will be sorted out in the next few days. Others have made similar comments.

    Thanks,

    Alex

  12. Dan,

Thanks for becoming a fan, I appreciate the interest. I read through some of your material and can see that we have very similar trains of thought with regard to the loss of perspective in youth sports today. I like what you have written so far am in the process of becoming a fan of yours as well (as soon as I finish this note :-)).

Much of what I write centers its focus on the athletes perspective and how they need to look at their sports experience, at least if they want to be successful, enjoy their experience, and get the most from it (especially the intrinsic rewards seemingly so absent today). You may have some interest in my personal blog (they are all uploaded here but the better visuals and editing are at the original) "The Athlete's Sports Experience: Making a Difference," http://www.becomingatruechampion.blogspot.com. This blog is designed to support the principles and concepts interwoven throughout my book "Becoming a True Champion: A Handbook for Young Athletes Aiming for Greatness," a manuscript I am seeking publication for. That website is http://www.becomingatruechampion.com. Please feel free to comment on any of the materials on my blog and/or books website, or drop me an email at batc@becomingatruechampion.com. I would be interested in your input.

Again, thanks for becoming a fan and I will be reciprocating.

    Best

    Kirk
