  1. John,
    Thanks for the add!

  2. That's strange John...

You know what they say though: if it ain't broke don't fix it.

And as far as I can tell, your articles are ending up on Bleacher Report looking good. Let me know if you disagree with this assertion and we can look further into the problem.

    Keep up the great work!

    Zan

  3. Hey John,

I hope you've been enjoying the new and improved Bleacher Report—we're really happy with the feedback we've received so far.

Just thought I'd let you know that next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements, and thus it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend John!

    Zander

  4. Thanks for commenting.

About Meat market, I think it is definitely worth the read. Basically Bruce Feldman gets all access to the coaches involved with Ole Miss recruiting. He talks a lot about the methods the coaches used to get the players to come to the school. He also goes into detail about some of the prospects outside of their football abilities. He talks about their personalities, family backgrounds, etc. Also, you learn a good amount about (former) head coach Ed Orgeron, who is certainly an interesting character.

The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that there weren't any really juicy recruiting stories or scandals. The author leads us to believe that everything is played within the rules, which I highly doubt is the case in most big-time football programs. Regardless, it's a pretty good book and I got through it in a couple of days.

  5. Thanks for adding our site to your favorites list!

  6. i'd take an eagle over a bee any day.

  7. was your concordia mascot a giant burgundy wasp? ours was. i'm terrified of bees and any insect in the bee family so i never went to a stingers game in my entire conc u career.

  8. didn't they recently put a franchise tag on concordia? i'd send you pictures of the conc u i graduated from in montreal but just picture a community college in new jersey and you're all set.

  9. The comment you left regarding my "New England stop your bitching" article was great so, I checked out your Sawks site. Good stuff! I am now officially your biggest fan. Not because you're also a graduate of Conc U but you may actually be funnier than me. And that says alot because I pride myself on being the "funny one" of the group. Keep it up!

  10. Just cleaned it up, John. What kind of browser are you using? I know Firefox works with best with our system, so a switch might save you some headaches. Give that a shot if you can...and we'll go from there.

Hope all's well on your end,

    RA

  12. Appreciate it, I enjoyed the piece on Anthony Smith. I think he was kind of misquoted though.

  13. For sure... I enjoyed your Merriman article. Stop by at my site and say hello when you have time... we'll talk some Pats or somethin.
