Alex's Bio

B/R World Football Writer of the Year 2008.

B/R Staff Editor

I am both a history (BA) and journalism (MA) graduate, which is only impressive when you consider they are just about the only combination of degrees that guarantee you won't get a job in the current economic climate.

Nevertheless, I hope to one day make it as a sports journalist of the highest level. If nothing else, a man can dream.

I spent over a year as a Staff Editor here at Bleacher Report, responsible for editing contributions and polishing articles for the World Football and Cricket sections of the site. But having graduated from university and been released back into the wild, he has now been forced to progress his career.

I am trying to make a living from journalism, and currently work for various publications including Goal.com and the Daily Mail. If you like my work on those sites, or right here on B/R, please don't hesitate to get in contact — I am always looking for further job opportunities.

Unfortunately, all this means that it is unlikely I will be contributing further pieces on B/R. I had great fun in my time on the site, and discussed sports with some fantastically knowledgeable and interesting people. I had my work published on sites including Fox Sports, CBSSports, and the Los Angeles Times online, which was great, but the experience of working and practising my craft with so many helpful other Bleacher creatures will be what I remember most.

Stay in touch, guys.
