Entrepreneur based in Boston. I am the Founder and currently President & COO of NameMedia, which operates a network of web sites focused on direct search, social networking and ecommerce. The NameMedia network serves over 70 million visitors per month. I am also an advisor and board member to social media companies. Previously I played an instrumental role in the rapid growth of Lycos, where I sereved in corporate development and general management roles.
I love to work but I also love many other things like my family, the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, Manchester United and all college sports. I grew up an athlete and today do my best as weekend warrior playing many sports and coaching my kids teams.
As a sports fan traditionally I would devour the sports pages of the newspapers and listen to sports talk radio when possible. Since I have been involved in the Internet I have longed for a site and community that could bring together sports fans where they could post their views and interact with other passionate fans. Bleacher Report is very cool and is just what I have been looking for. Bleacher Report is where i blog on sports. I blog on other topics at http://www.jeffbennett.org. Enjoy my posts and add your comments please.
In wake of the ALCS, please check out my interview with the former Yankee and Angel, the truly inspirational, Jim Abbott!

Thanks and God Bless, Thomas.
Happy New Year to you Jeff! Hope things are well out on the East Coast, my condolences to the Pats for missing the playoffs. As for the Sox, well I think they'll do just fine despite the Yankees dominating the headlines. Appreciate the kind words about the progress we're making at B/R, and hopefully we can catch up soon.
Good to see you on B/R, Jeff!
