About

I've been writing fiction since I was in 3rd grade. I love putting words to paper, I have three major novels in the works to hopefully one day get published, and although I'm not much of a sports fan on the whole, I'm very big into professional wrestling. Brand loyal to WWE, however the moments when WCW and TNA have put on interesting TV, I've always tried to acknowledge it and analyze it same as WWE.

I'd like to briefly point out, to those of you who have read my wrestling articles, that I'm not an insider, I've never wrestled in my life, I have no experience working in the wrestling industry, I merely read articles on this site and learn from others who know more than me. Occasionally, my head gets a bit big and I think I know more than I do, and people stop me with very concise arguments. Other times, they feel they can use a few simple facts to confuse me and end up only cornering themselves. Feel free to debate me all you like, I will not stop anyone from saying anything to me about any articles I compose. Just please remember that if we debate long enough, I will likely give you respect for your side of the argument. Please be nice and have respect for mine.

Writing is quickly becoming my whole life and Bleacher Report has given me a great place to write about the storylines and characters found in wrestling programs.

Thanks a lot for the info. I was aware that many were established as stars - but in the arguments I've been where people bash Rock for not apparently putting others over, but commend Cena because he actually does, I was unsure on whether Cena really helped those stars get to that level. (It's quite tiring — Rock has put over way more people than Cena and effectively buried nobody in comparison to him, yet people are enraged at Rock rather than Cena? Pathetic..)

Edge - yeah. He didn't need Cena really; I'd just say it was a fun feud to watch.I've heard people say that Cena made Edge the star he is today, and I just couldn't be more shocked.

Orton - Agreed. Nothing more to say.

Punk - exactly! Whenever someone makes the point that Cena never puts anyone over
clean, they always bring up Punk. That's pretty strange considering the fact that 1) It was one person 2) It wasn't even clean! If Cena was really that more 'sincere' than The Rock (apparently) he could've easily just told Vince to not allow interruptions, and lose CLEANLY. But no, that didn't happen.

Sheamus - Yeah. That's what I thought. It seemed he was rising in stardom, but
Cena had to crash it all down again. I'm afraid though, that's what's going to happen
to him at WM (because it's me, ya know? I'm allowed to defeat all who I please). So yeah,
I'm pretty happy to take on Sheamus ;D

RVD - Cena was being booed almost as loud as Chicago there! Quite a memorable event. But either way, RVD was an established star, having already had great matches in the past, and being a champion various times. I fail to see how some think that Cena
    put him over massively.

Zack Ryder - Yep. It doesn't matter if Cena gave cred to his show, or had his back at times, because it just looked like a silly attempt to make more people like Cena. If he really wanted to put him over, he could've let him win that match they had on RAW; and if he were to lose, at least make him look good in the process. And again, with the Eve angle - I thought it was good heel turn for Eve, but it just made Zack look weak to be honest. But, I suppose I'll wait and see what the end of this is gonna be like. Hope it turns out good!

Once again, I appreciate the response. And I don't mind them being long explanations,
because you usually don't ramble and have great points to prove. I esp. like how
how you're trying to make all those guys who said Cena 'owned' Rock, to shut up and start thinking straight

Hi, you seem to have a lot of knowledge on wrestling, specifically Cena, so I ask you.

Did Cena help establish (get over) these people: Edge, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Sheamus, Rob Van Dam, and Zack Ryder? Thanks for any responses.

Late reply, but I couldn't agree more, Marc. Cena's promo on Monday was a minor change, but at least it added more edginess to his character. I look forward to what The Rock's gonna say next week. But John HAS to come up with new material, else the critics will keep criticising, and we're still gonna have the same opinion on him as they always have. It's a damn necessity.

One thing's for sure though - if the match ends with Cena victorious, and the duo end up shaking hands at the end of it, then the phrase 'WWE dropped the ball' couldn't be more true, and would possibly be 100% objective.

If you're still planning on writing the article, I look forward to reading it!

Thanks a lot Marc. I agree that Final Fantasy's probably one of the most enjoyable gaming franchises of all time.

First of all, that's an interesting idea. I wasn't really a fan of interference - but that situation seems like a feasible option. Even with help, it proves very challenging to beat The Rock. Only after extremely arduous brawling, enragementent, loss of emotional control, does he emerge victorious. He breaks through that barrier of 'husalty, loyalty and respect' that's like a continuous aura surrounding him.. and like you said, all it needs to do is modify his his outlook as far as what he feels is okay.

It is sorta like Austin's heel turn to be fair. Ya know, despite what people say,
sometimes it's best to look at the past and see what works, and adapt it to current situations.

However, I'd prefer your second option. Thing is with Cena is that, well, he's a pretty polarising figure, and possibly one of the most talked about wrestlers today. Rocky too, is an icon. Synergetic with Austin in defining one of the best eras in the WWF —the attitude era— he was one of the most respected and talked about wrestlers; and still is. The match is perhaps reminiscent with Hogan/Rock 10 years ago — Icon vs Icon — so to have interference would possibly ruin the atmosphere and feel of the match. It should be one vs one — nothing getting in the way, anything goes, to see which one's the true icon; as well as seeing if Cena manages to rise above the hate like he claims, or to finally fall victim to the arrows of torment that rain on him endlessly.

After his defeat, he gets up to show respect, puts his hand forward to shake with The Rock, but at that point, he suddenly lifts it up —perhaps using the 'you cant see me' hand gesture— before punching the Rock in his face, in vehement fustration. He then beats him down, sets up a table, clims a ladder, then cuts a promo about everyone turning his back on him (or whatever), a spectacular FU is performed on Rock— and there, we could witness one of the greatest turns of all time. He then stands over him confidently and smugly, feeling as if he was the winner of the war, despite losing the battle. Or, if that's too much, he could just punch Rock to begin with, beat him down normally, proceed stand over him proudly, yada yada...

It seems like whenever Cena is on the verge of showing other spectrums of personality, he reverts to his original — always, it seems to be so close, but it's just not good enough. It's like this unbreakable shield that stops him from reaching that point. Perhaps the continual build-up of Cena having to embrace hate and whatnot increases his susceptibility to the desired heel turn; and I think Rock's the final guy that could break the metaphorical shield and cause Cena to completely transform his persona.

Hi Marc - I have to you make some of the most astounding, sagacious comments I've seen on this site. Every single one of them expresses great opinions and well-thought out arguments, albeit they can be long.

Perhaps you've mentioned this before - but it begs me to ask the following question: What would you like the outcome of the Cena/Rock match to be at WM?
