Erick's Bio

Erick is a 20 year old college student attending Brooklyn College on a full scholarship. He is majoring in TV/Radio and minoring in English with the hopes of someday becomming a professional basketball analyst.

He is a lifelong NBA fan who loves not only the awe-inspiring talents of NBA players, but also the strategic chess matches between a team trying to maximize its strengths, while attacking its opponent's weaknesses.

Erick is a huge Florida Gators fan who is basking in the success of the school's recent football and basketball championships.

Aside from the Gators, Erick is an avid fan of the SEC, the Utah Jazz, the New York Knicks, The Carolina Panthers, the New York Giants, the New York Mets, and the Colorado Rockies.

Erick is an encyclopedia of Simpsons quotes, loves Leslie Nielson movies, and lists T.S. Eliot and Douglas Adams as his favorite writers. He also lives on the block where the first tornado in over 100 years touched down in Brooklyn, New York. Obviously, God isn't a huge fan of Erick's, and sent a message accordingly.

  5. Erick - Right now BR licenses images from Icon Sports Media (http://iconsportsmedia.com/). If there is a photo we don't have that you want to use, you can email photos@bleacherreport.com with your request and we'll do our best to add it to the library.

When uploading your own images, you should either own the image or have permission from the copyright holder, or the image must fall under the doctrine of "Fair use" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use). Fair use is an ambiguous thing, but generally if you're writing about a subject and the photo you want to use adds to and/or is necessary for the commentary, then fair use generally applies.

As for in-game photos, we're currently working on a solution that will broadly expand our image library and include in-game photos in the offerings. Stay tuned for more news on that in the next couple months.

  6. E,

I'm actually not exactly sure what the rules are re: copyrighted images. The man to ask is Dave Nemetz; you can reach him at dnemetz@bleacherreport.com. Keep me posted if you hit any snags going forward.

P.S. Hope the internship treated you well.

  7. Hey Erick,

Vote for it as Pick Of The Day. You won't be sorry, don't forget vote.

  8. Phoenix would be nice for spring break, if the girls stuck around for spring break haha. Everybody goes to Mexico for spring break or Cali or Lake Havasu, nobody sticks around in the Phoenix/Tempe/Scottsdale area.

  9. Yeah the girls are amazing here. We get AZ girls of course and then a bunch of Cali girls, ASU gets like 300+ days of sun each year so girls are always tanning. Girls even show up to class with bikini tops on. Its really something to see. You should definitely consider coming here if you are able to. Two of my friends that go here are from Brooklyn, well one isn't here anymore he is at a music school in New York now. Do you know Mark Smith or Chris Woll by any chance?

  10. Also, I just noticed you go to Brooklyn College, my father went there for school. Good school ey?

  11. True, I have had my fair share of championship teams that I cheer for. I am originally from NYC but I was raised mostly here in AZ so I am a big fan of the Yanks and the Giants and the Rangers which have all been successful since I was born, but then I am also a big fan of the Suns, Cardinals and Coyotes which are the exact opposite. So overall I have had a good amount of success as a sports fan. Just don't call me bandwagon though because I am anything but. I was just born into a new york sports family but also was raised with phoenix sports teams so I just cheer hard for those 6. I do hate the Dbacks, Jets, Islanders, Devils and the Mets though.

  12. There really isn't much the Suns can do, they don't have any cap space and are afraid to pay any amount of Luxury Tax which is ridiculous. Luckily the draft is deep so they can get somebody with the #15 pick, preferably a PG to back up Nash and one day take over the reigns when he is done. Diaw and Bell were the Suns best players these playoffs which is amazing because they are the 5th and 6th options during the season. Nobody stepped up this year and Shaq's 9/20 in game five from the line and his inability to jump at all anymore didn't help either. The Suns pick him up for defense and rebounding and he only had 9 rebounds in game 5 and Parker and Ginobli drove to the basket everytime for an easy layup. They are cursed haha, 40 years and counting, luckily I'm only 19 still so there is still time to see at least one championship in my life haha

  13. Hey. Just wanted to say that I really enjoy reading your articles. It seems like you really know your stuff. Keep up the good work!

  14. So do I bro. You have no idea! Knick fan sincesince the age of 6.

I completely agree and dislike P.J Brown for wasting what seemed to be a championship season for the NY Knicks.

    Peace man!

  15. Thanks for the pick, E.
