Mark Thalacker is an analyst for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Born and raised in Iowa, he was a part-time sports writer for the Waterloo (Iowa) Daily Courier for eight years in the ‘70s and ‘80s. A lifelong Iowa Hawkeyes fan, he is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and the Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the Joint Military Intelligence College.. Mr. Thalacker previously served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve for 23 years. He is a veteran of Operations Desert Storm (Saudi Arabia) and Joint Endeavor (Bosnia).
