I've devoted most of my life to being a Pittsburgh sports fan. Currently, I live in Indiana with my wife Sarah and our dog Clooney. But, I had the pleasure of taking in all that is Austin, TX - mostly University of Texas football in the world of sports - for the past 4 years. My hobbies include playing hockey, softball and volleyball, and following the wonderful world of collegiate and professional sports. Thanks for reading and be sure to become a fan of my page! Hi T.J.,
I have a quick question for you. Since you're a Featured Columnist I figure you'd be notified if B/R was planning on putting together a College Football Bowl Coverage Team like they did last season. Have you heard anything about such a team being discussed?
If you have any information I'd appreciate you passing it along when you get the time.
Thanks,
K Becks
There's a slight problem with your bowl projections. If Kent State wins the MAC Championship game and gets up 16th in the BCS, yes, they'd have to get a spot in the BCS bowls... BUT (and it's a big BUT)... they don't knock out the Big East Champ. The AQ conferences still get their champs in. Kent State would claim one of the "at large" slots. As things stand, the 10 BCS slots would go to: 1) Notre Dame (NC Game), 2) the SEC Champ (NC Game), 3) Kansas State (or slight chance of OU, Fiesta Bowl), 4) Nebraska (or Wisconsin, Rose Bowl), 5) Stanford (or UCLA, Rose Bowl), 6) Florida State (or Georgia Tech, Orange Bowl)... and then the 7) Sugar Bowl gets next pick (and Florida is guaranteed a spot if they're #4 or higher so they seem almost certainly in). Beyond that, the picking order is Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl... 8) and the Big East Champ (Rutgers, Louisville, or Cincinnati), and 9) Kent state (if they do indeed make it to 16 or higher) would be guaranteed spots. Kent State would almost certainly be last choice (so the Orange Bowl). Given the choice between Rutgers and either Oregon or Stanford (if they lost the Pac 12 Championship game), I'm pretty sure the Fiesta will go with the Pac 12 team (and not a Big 12 rematch with Oklahoma, another undesirable option). OU would get screwed over and the pairings would (most likely) look something like:
Notre Dame vs Alabama
Nebraska vs Stanford
Kansas State vs Oregon
Florida vs Rutgers
Florida State vs Kent State
How can Kent St. go to Orange bowl play Florida St? Shouldn't you have put them in Sugar bowl playing Florida? And a Big East champ in Orange? This on Bowl predictions issue.
Why you should never right another article. Because when you right articles like "Why Georgia can't compete with Alabama" it makes you look really bias and idiotic.
why are you always so negative in your articles its like you try and piss people off
TJ,
Please PM me your official prediction statement on Mayweather vs Cotto ASAP thanks

Never seen a more biased article then your last one. Clearly you're not much of a ranger fan and are either a pens or flyers fan but that doesn't mean you have them losing the first round to the caps. Awful predictions and just be smart when you write. The rangers have been one of the most consistent teams this year and yet you rarely ever give them the credit for that. If you're going to write about hockey know what you're writing about and don't let your biased teams get in the way because the pens and caps have been two of the colder teams as of late. Stick to college basketball TJ because the article you posted is equivelent to me saying these are the "Top 5 NBA championship favorites": 1. Mavericks 2. Clippers 3. 76ers(you're favorite?) 4.Celtics 5. Pacers. Or if that doesn't work here is nfl superbowl favorites for next season: 1. Steelers(you're favorite) 2. Eagles(dream team right?) 3. Cowboys 4. Patriots 5. Broncos (ps I'm a ravens fan and rangers fan and yes you're biased penguins and steelers articles anger me more than anyone elses)
T.J. I want to have respect for you but then I saw who you root for and had to stop there. If I was a writer being a Rangers, Mets, Knicks, and Rams fan and being a life long N.J resident I certainly would not be so bias as to allowing my teams get in the way of reality as you certainly let your teams dictate who you WANT, um think is the best. Make sure you write a nice juicy article about what went wrong and how your Pens didn't land the cup this year because with Crybaby in the lineup they are not as good but with Letang in it makes you guys way better. I totally have respect for talent and the Pens have a lot but dude your knowledge of hockey is anemic!!
I like your display pic.
It's very picturesque !
Please stay away from hockey. You obviously don't know anything about it outside your little bubble of Pennsylvania
