Peter's Bio
I am a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. While I live in the Washington DC area and frequent Nationals Park, my true love lies with the Redbirds. Needless to say, in my days before the wonder that is MLB Extra Innings I only had the Cubs and Braves to watch. So while I love the Cards and get a ton of exposure to the Nats, National League Baseball, and more specifically the NL Central are what I know.
While my first love is baseball, I am also a huge college football fan, especially the Virginia Tech Hokies. I follow all Hokie Sports almost religiously. There I am a rising junior political science and history double major.
I will watch any sport that is on, but if its baseball or college football I especially know what's up.

All Time Sports Moment
Watching the Red Sox break the curse was something I'll never forget, even though it was beating the Cardinals at Old Busch.
Most Memorable Game Attended
Recently actually- The Nationals blew a lead against the Orioles. In the bottom of the 12th with 2 strikes and 2 outs to Ronnie Belliard, he jacks a walk off that landed two rows behind me. Although the Nats continued to slide, it was a great moment to be a fan.
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Cal Ripkin's Ironman Record
Ruth or Mays?
Ruth- a pitcher who was a utility man and could hit? Who could ask for more. Plus, how often do we get to worship an alcoholic who wouldn't be allowed to play these days?

Peter-
I recently wrote an article on the Cardinals top prospects and some primed break out prospects. Being a Cardinal fan, I think you may enjoy it. Hope to hear from you!

Peter,
Being one of the top writers in the St. Louis Cardinals' community, we are relying on you to turn in some awesome stuff for us!
I just want to remind you to keep coming with solid stories. We have all been slacking as of late with school starting back up for many, but we need to keep the STL community one of the strongest in the MLB section. We have started off really well, so let's keep it going!

Peter,
You do some awesome stuff for B/R! Is there any chance that I could publish some of your stuff on my blog, www.cardinaltwist.com? I'll include your name, link, and anything else you want!
Thanks,
Ben

Hey man, it's no problem. Opinions are opinions and everyone has them. No one says they're suppose to be the same. It's good we differ. It makes for great debate, and I have enjoyed debating with you.
And History rules :-)

That's wired, I never got an e-mail indicating the pick like I usually get or I would have sent you a note on your bulletin board. If you meant to select my stats article you can still go ahead and do it if you want to, one other person did so far and it takes more than one for it to be considered as overall pick of the day. Thanks Peter!

Peter your the man -perhaps when I swing through DC sometime we can catch a beer and watch a non-Red Sox or Yankees game somewhere.
Best wishes,

I think that Zimmy will be the 3 hole hitter, whether he should be or not.

I am still trying to digest it. I have no idea in what direction the team is going. The kid is supposed to have a future as a lead off hitter, but they signed Guzman to a two year deal. I think he should be at leadoff. So... I think that they now have to dump FLop for whatever they can get. Belliard has lost a step in the infield. With that we are then up the middle. Harris, Flop/Belliard, Harris, Flores is a crappy defense.
But you know holding on to Rauch is not a long term plan and the D Young fiasco just got worse.
Where does this team go from here?

Thanks for the note. I don't know what to think about the deal that was mentioned. Nady is good, but he'll be expensive to resign. Reyes is in the never ending dog house, and if we can get Nady for Reyes and Duncan, Mo should take it.
I still think that George Sherrill is the best trade we could make for now.
Take care, and I liked your Angels in the Outfield article.

No problem...I try to reserve my picks of the day for one of the guys I personally know on here and rookies since established writers get enough exposure already that they don't need my pick of the day vote.

That's OK, Peter, we all have our favorite teams and I like baseball in general, also, so feel free to check us out and I'll check out your Cardinals stuff too.

Hey, Peter, welcome to BR! I am the Cubs community leader, so if you ever get a hankering to write about the Cubbies, we're always looking for fresh talent. But I also write about many different sports and teams, so if you need any help getting ideas, let me know.
In the meantime, you can always help by reading and commenting on our Cubs articles even if you're not a Cubs fan (can't tell because you haven't completed your bio yet).
