I'm a BYU grad who is a self proclaimed defender of non-BCS teams. My personal favorites are BYU and Boise State, but I love when any non-BCS team rises up against the system, and I will do my part to cover them.
You can follow me on Twitter under the name MasterPeavler
When will you SEC bias guys give it up on Lane Kiffin. How many years ago did he leave your precious Tennessee? He did a good job during that one year with the Volunteers. Good recruiting and and improved record. Yes, he jumped ship after only one year, and that is not a good thing, but he went back home. What if things were reversed. What if he would have been the OC at Tennessee during a long winning run and a couple of BCS championships. Then he got a chance to be head coach at USC, and was offered the chance , after one year, to come back home to TN. and be the head coach. Would you guys be all pissed at him forever for leaving USC for TN.? I doubt it. We all like to go back home where ever that may be. That is not a trend for Lane. He will not leave USC until they fire him. Hopefully he will turn it around this year, or he might not be there another year. He is down 15 scholarships a year at USC. He is one of the best recruiters there is to gather the high classes that he has. Now lets see if he can really coach.
Only a BYU fan, who is a wannabe sports writer, would put Utah on this list. Thanks Lafe, for the pub. It's nice for Utah to be in the discussion with so many storied teams. And ranked higher than Lane Kiffin. Wow. You're not biased at all...........
My pleasure, Lafe; it bothers me to see how critical and obnoxious some of these BR posters are.
Ok, I'm gonna have to stop reading BR. I mean, this pudgy little kid is pontificating on...ANYTHING???? Really!!??? When does he have time to write? He looks like he spends most of his time in lockers he's been stuffed in by the middle school bully. Yeesh!!
I just read your article concerning WVU and whether they deserve a bowl or not. I felt that it was one of the worst articles I have read to date! I am a 51 year old, 22 year military veteran. I was fighting wars while you were crappin your pants! Grow up, get a clue and write something positive for a change! Any team that finishes with the required wins is allowed to play in a bowl, your favorites included. Show a little respect! If you have nothing good ro say then say nothing at all!
There’s been CheapJerseys.com considerable chatter, but zero reports, that the Broncos would be a possible destination for Maurice Jones-Drew if the Jacksonville running back were put on the trading block. The Cheap Jerseys speculation no doubt has something to do with the fact Jones-Drew’s former coach in Jacksonville, Jack Del Rio, is now the Cheap Jerseys USA Broncos’ defensive coordinator.
At this point, the Broncos would not be in play. They like the potential crash-n-dash tailback tandem they have in Willis McGahee and Ronnie Hillman, provided Hillman can get his nagging hamstring healed. Together, McGahee and Hillman will make $3.08 million this year. Jones-Drew is protesting his contract that pays him a $4.45 million this year.
Baltimore just gave Ray Rice a contract extension that pays him $17 million this year and $25 million in the next two years so Jones-Drew has the right to feel slighted. But it would be difficult for the Broncos to satisfy him.
Consider the Broncos are already paying a combined $53 million of their $120 million cash-to-cap budget this year to four players: Peyton Manning ($18 million), Elvis Dumervil ($14 million), Champ Bailey ($10.5 million) and Von Miller ($10.5 million). That’s 44 percent of the team’s 61-man (including practice squad) payroll. The team is also hoping to sign left tackle Ryan Clady after this season to a $10 million a year deal.
Why is Bronco one of your favorite coaches?
why isn't marcus mariota on your grading first time QB?
Amazing job on that piece about Yeldon. Some of the best stuff I have seen no the web!
Excellent article on Yeldon of Alabama. Most non Alabama writers do not know a lot about the Tide but you are an exception. Hope you write more Tide articles. Great Job.
