Those are all heavy hitting names - A-Rod, Strawberry and Sheffield are also from Tampa. Its Yankee Town USA...though, some team called the Rays are trying to steal it away. I know, how messed up is that?

Boston has to start losing for the Yanks to even have a shot - I want a nap - I guess I'll sick to beer though - great for fishing! Send some bass or trout this way, my brother! ...have a great time, man...I havent fished in 5 yrs....I gotta get back to it, baseball is wearing me out :)

fishing requires patience, something that is not offered us in baseball - especially in September.

Went out of town for a couple days - really, I havent watched a game in 4 days!!

Its part of my built in protection system :) and look - NY beat TB 2 of 3...I should watch less games!

I will take a look at the new piece - is it "change we can believe in?" LOL

We could always do a Pod Cast ... howd that be, we could take over the corrupt sports media altogether - - - for the fans, of the fans and by the fans!

Hey no problem. I would be frustrated too if my team spent a gazillion dollars on players that aren't playing up to their potential so feel free to let it out whenever you want and I'll make sure to edit it. ;)

Now this, my friend, is as funny as it gets! I especially like the line about the tulips...its almost as if baseball itself is just a mean spirited sport - its all about losers and winners - what is that non-sense anyhow? Why cant they all just play a game and then shake on it....or hug! LMAO

Hey Rob - i added to the story and hope you like...i went with where your vision, but took it one step further. I offered 2 versions of the horror movie - a sick rendition of Ground Hog Day and the movie Misery , with Brian Cashman as Cathy Bates torturing the fans with moves like Richie Sexson - ahhh the horror.

Hope you like it, if not let me know and I will revert to the original - also added your link calling for bonds and sheff and mine for clemens.

rasner looked okay, 6 to 2 lead - bam...burney :/ - great.
so glad that Joe decided to pull giambi for that kid.

question...how many times in later innings has giambi's glove cost the Yankees a lead? Answer - 0. I realize that it could - but it hasnt.

How many times has Giambi been replaced in an attempt to better the defense andf hold a lead - only to end up with a lesser hitter at the plate in a clutch? Many. It would take some stat work - but holy hootin hillary! 7 games back now and Ransom flies out to end it - with A-Rod hitting into another DP!!!

Time to hit Giambi 4th (where he was intended to be anyhow) - let him play the whole dam game & hit ARod 3rd or 5th...hell, maybe even 7th! I could certainly support Matsui or Nady moving into the 4th spot...

Time to Wake Up A-Rod - the season is calling, they want their production that they paid for - -

Joe needs to wake these mfrs up..Robbie Cano - please. where's that flashy smile now? roberta cano't is more like it -

Cash-man threw himself under the bus yesterday and said, :dont go blaming Joe Girardi for this team - its not his fault. I put this team together and its my responsibility" - in other words, SEE YA!

If Hank doesnt bail him out by saying that he likes Cashman and thinks he is doing a fine job, then the writing is on the wall for Cash-man.

I do think some of the blame has got to go with Joe though....he is the motivator, the coach and the problem isnt that this team is not talented - its that theyre not performing - that is everyones faulire, from hank all the way down to the players.

Good idea for the Scary Cashman Story - I like it. I can pieve meal that one together and make it real spooky too - like the monster signing of Randy Johnson - NY Flop. So many others too...great idea - dfont look now, but it is the return of Pavaaaaannnnnooooooo! boo! I cant believe he didnt get rocked today - then again, it was just the Jays -
Gald to see NYwon again - we need another and Doc Halladay is up next...ouch. The bats have to carry the team dude - shout it from the mountain tops

Huge game for the Giambino. In 2005, the Yankees trailed the Red Sox by 3 games in the AL East standings with 20 games left to play, and still made the post season. Kind of similar this year--there's still hope!!!

The Yanks put Pavano on waivers this am!!!

An indication of an addition? Who takes Pavano's place? hmmmm. Time to bring back the rocekt - if hes in shape. if not, time to fold.

Bonds would be great, but with Rasner and Hughes or Pavano rounding off the rotation - there is no chance in hell that the last season NY makes it to the post season - which is a disgrace...

the same field that the Mick, Munson, Maris, Joey Baseball, Gehrig and the Babe played on is being closed with a loser of a season

Hey brother - I tried to edit your last one - you know, add some stuff to it and re-format a little - and the edit didn't save - I'll get back in later, if you like.

"Wanted: Barry Bonds to help the Yankees win the Wild Card - apply within"....that should be the Yankee motto right now. And of course - Clemens is needed to fill out the rotation and keep pavano where he belongs - as a benefits specialist. and keep hughes in the minors until he is more prepared for the MLB - last year's Phil may have just been a result of batters not knowing him well enough

going into the last 5 weeks with 2 weaknesses in the rotation is not a good sign - especially with a loser type offense.

Nice write - I'll take a look at some edits. Now, as for the Yanks - theyre making for excuses now, with what is to come in the off season - say good-bye Pettitte. He and Steinbrenner had it out the last time he left...one can honestly surmise that after what happened with this report (Mitchell) Andy will not be around for the new stadium...and this season's losing record will be the excuse - I still have to write up my pro-clemens article. i started it and will finish asap. been pretty busy lately.
This is a disgrace man. A call for a stadium-buycott might be in order. They laid down in the off season with the report...verbal support = no support...now theyre laying down as they break the post-season record in the last season of OUR stadium...not theirs - ours. we paid for it. the fans -

pathetic. absolutely pathetic.
ya know, so many writers have been fixated for months about how bad the rotation is - they say "no rasner and no ponson" - and I have been saying "no, fix the pen - the starters are doing well" - finally they got marte, and went through some growing pains but he settled in.

The damned bats have been a source of concern all year though - I tried to support Giambi earlier this year and took a lot of heat for it too...he has 40 less ABs than most and is 3rd in RBI and 2 in HR...I have been riding Molina Cano and Cabrera too- they cant hit - bam - there goes melky - SO I am thinking, great - nady in ctr, damon in lft and abreu in rght - all bats in...1st game i see gardner in i I couldn't believe it - he did alright but dude...the season is at stake right now. tonight damon misses two? nady in ctr, its where he played before and he has an arm! omg.

what the hell is going on? No one can hit and we already relied on children to pitch - they sucked. I know all about Pavano - I watched him when he was a Marlin and when he first came to NY - he stunk. that will not fix the rotation -

and they replace Joba and Wang with Pavano! Stick a fork in em. 39 games left - 10 or 11 back - theyve got to go on a Colorado like streak and right now - as is - no f'n way! not with pavano and not with rasner - who I liked tonight (but he's burned out dude) Ive been saying and emailing for 2 months that the Rasner does well but never --never get runs support - even when he was throwing up shut outs - no run support - in comes the pen and bam - we lose.

Mine as well get Clemens - last yr...8/29 (3 days after my birthday) Clemens faced Boston for the 1st time since 2003 (PEDRO v ZIMMER) - he went 7 inngs and shut them out. dude aint done, man - i emailed his agent- he responded this time, but I have to wait and see whats in the inbox tomorrow -
Check this out - Moose, Pet, Rock, Ponson, Hughes - wehn Joba gets back - - Joba, Pet, Moose, Rock, Hughes - ponson in the pen for long relief or emergency starts -

It is a big week indeed. I wouldn't count that Matsui is their only improvement - they lost when he was playing and Matsui hits left - Richie was brought in to provide right handed power off the bench...which they still lack. No one on this team, improves this team - they just make it the same team that has been losing the whole time -

I will get my article on the pitching staff for tomorrow morning - I just put out 2 articles that say McNamee's evidence is false - in an attempt to elevate Clemens discussions by other networks and medias. They check google news for stuff to write about - maybe I just get the door cracked open just enough for a real discussion to occur - if not, its no big deal.

I will add some wow factor to my headline - "Steinbrenner Says He Will Get Top Vet - Clemens Could Help Yankee's Injured Staff" - - or something along those lines...

I think that NY needs a pitcher in their rotation- which is down to 4 men right now. Seems like the logical choice is to look at FA - and there is Clemens. Given the recent MLB attitude of "moving on," then Clemens is a possibility - NY hired Pudge, Tejada is under the same investigation as Clemens and made the all-star team - played at Yankee Stadium and wasn't banned; and finally, Bonds was welcomed back to SF for that greatest outfield ceremony - the iron is hot to strike now.

Of course I will work this angle and I dont mind taking the criticism that will come with it - but need someone else to work the offense angles - how bout it?

I wouldnt put much credence into editorials b/c sometimes theyre just reporting what the fans want to hear and going for the shock factor to better circulation.

2010 for Jeter - I would think he might change his position eventually - but doubt that he goes anywhere other than to a new spot - left field? who knows.

Yeah the die has been cast - but it hasnt becuase the Yanks are going get some waivers or free agents - Kay and Al Lieter are talking about clemens and his pitching philosophies right now on YES - tells me that the Yanks (who own YES) are not keeping clemens in the closet - though I am not prepared to say that they "will" got that route. I am going to write an article about the pitching staff later today -
What we know - hank said top vet help, girardi said richie didnt fill the role we wanted him to fill - to me, that means richie will be replaced with a bat, not a kid. and theyre looking for a top vet to help this team win - bonds, sheff or clemens ; maybe some combo of the 3.

I am in total and utter agreement with you. And if that pitching will, and they will, get touched up so much - we better have an offense who can score - time for the bats to win the games and pick up the injured rotation and pen too (wow). the rotation and pen had to carry them when they were injured....pay back time. Bonds? DH? Nady in center? What do you think - seriously.

Did you hear what Manny said?
He wants to be a Yankee come the off-season! OMG. One- he just shot himself in the foot regarding the investigation to "forcing a trade" by not trying hard enough (is that illegal, if so I have some players to talk too) - of course players can elect to sit out games, but Manny cant?

Now he wants to be a Yankee? He is feeding Boston's fire with that one...they're looking at Scott Boris's hand in all this, announced last week. This week Manny confesses and says he wants to be a Yankee ... wow. I am shocked too.

CC and Manny free agents come fall. But for now, the offense has to win it - Bonds? Theres one other FA pitcher - you know, 22 = 4.18 last year and thats good for this year....Or we trade for Arroyo, I heard Washburn is off the market - Vidro was waived and he was part of the deal ($$) - who else is there? In other words - help!

Oh man, I dont even want to write an article on what my thoughts are. We got kilt again! Swept. lol by TX? Joba = out and going to the same fraud that told Jorge "Youre fine" oh sheet! Wang it out til Oct now. but hey, kennedy is almost ready...I am losing faith quickly again BUT...we were 10 back at this time last year. So, breathe and hope the Sawx can lose more so we can secure a wild card at least.

I have a lot of writers that I email back and forth too. I am tellig Joe to get Clemens and forget Pavano already. We hired Pudge (Mitchell Report) and Tejada is in the same boat as 22. He was in the Stadium 2 weeks ago putting on an All Star Clinic at short.
22 was a 4.18 in an injury yr last year and is still listed to play as a FA..we have til 8/31..the last time he threw a 4.18 (one of the lewest ERAs in his career) he cam back to throw a 3.5, which is what he threw to win a CY in NY.

Keep up the nice work brother. It can get a little hairy at times with NY, but damn aint it fine.
This team has the chance to be what the 90s were - unexpected heroes. So much still coming down the line too.

Girardi has pulled it together that's for sure-NY might be in first by this MON, and then running away with it. :o)
