Michael's Bio

Born in Maryland, played lacrosse, baseball, softball and football as a youngster. Successful team swimmer on the Severn River until I was 18. Grew up rooting for Baltimore Colts, Orioles, Bullets and Clippers. When the Irsays moved the Colts to Indy, I adopted the closest team to my home, which was the Redskins. With regard to hockey and basketball, I eventually adopted the Washington Capitols and Wizards, since those sports in Baltimore did not survive professionally. When Jim Speros developed the CFL Baltimore Stallions, I returned to rooting for the "home" team. When the Ravens were born, I adopted them. Moved to New Hampshire in the late '90s for several years and developed a respect for the great New England teams. Now I'm back in New Hampshire again (for good) and we'll see what happens. As the Orioles appear to be getting back into a pennant race, I think I'll need to root for them. Also will continue rooting for the University of Maryland, Naval Academy, Va Tech, and any Maryland school that fields a competetive lacrosse team. Other sports that I enjoy participating in are sailing, skiing, horseshoes, volleyball, ping-pong, kayaking and snorkeling. That's about it (for the moment).
